Last February, I reviewed Nomad’s foray into the analog space with its Nomad Pen. It’s a beautiful, well-balanced pen that is 134.5mm long. 9.8mm thick, weighs 32g, and is made from high-quality aluminum and stainless steel. At $49.95, it is an affordable piece of daily-use luxury. Now Nomad has upped their game and introduced the Nomad Pen in Titanium.
Made from machined titanium, the pen has a PVD coating for abrasion and corrosion resistance.
The Nomad Pen in Titanium looks unique thanks to its dual flattened sides, yet it takes a standard Schmidt EasyFLOW 9000 ink cartridge. It is also compatible with Parker-style G2 refills.

The Nomad Pen in Titanium’s design is exactly the same as that of the stainless steel version, and like its predecessor, the flattened sides aren’t just for visual interest. Instead, they also make it comfortable to hold when using the pen.
The careful weight distribution also adds to the comfort when writing for an extended period of time. I used the stainless steel version for months and found it a comfortable pen to hold and use.

I find myself only using the Nomad Pen in Titanium anymore; in fact, it’s replaced all my other pens! Like the original version, the titanium pen doesn’t have a pocket clip; that’s still a bummer, but I’ve managed not to misplace the original pen, so I guess it’s not as big a deal as I expected it to be.
Of course, using a material like titanium instead of aluminum and stainless steel impacts the price; the original version of the Nomad Pen is $49.99, and the new Nomad Pen in Titanium is double that price. That may seem like a lot, but then again, so long as you don’t lose it (or your spouse doesn’t steal it from you), this is likely the last pen you will ever purchase.
