Lenovo has always looked to what the future of computing might be, and they’re doing the same with tablets too. Their new Lenovo Tab Extreme is a glimpse into the future.

Lenovo Tab Extreme

Lenovo Tab Extreme

The Lenovo Tab Extreme is a 14.5″ tablet with a 3K OLED display and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It has Dolby Atmos and eight JBL 4-channel speakers, a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Octa-core processor, and a battery life of up to 12 hours.

On every specification, this is a beastly Android tablet. But there’s more than that.

The Tab Extreme will offer a dual-mode stand that magnetically attaches to the tablet and lets you orient it in whichever way you prefer.

In addition, there’s an optional dual-hinge keyboard where the tablet can be mounted and tilted like a laptop. Feature-wise, it can basically handle being a laptop, as it runs Android 13 and supports up to four apps simultaneously via split screens.

The webcam offers visual adaptive capture, so you always stay in focus on calls, and there is a 360-degree voice capture mode if you’re doing a call with multiple people in the room.

Even cooler, you can use the tablet as a sketchpad alongside a laptop with DP-in USB-C or as a monitor with DP-out USB-C. And if you can’t stand wires, the Lenovo Freestyle app lets you connect or mirror your Tab Extreme to a Lenovo Windows PC for mirroring, file sharing, or as a secondary touchpad.

The power to do literally everything, at home and on the go, with one device will start at $1,199.99 later in 2023.

Lenovo Smart Paper

No matter how digital we become, there’s something about note-taking in your own handwriting. Enter the Lenovo Smart Paper, a digital notepad that will let you draw, jot notes, and generally work on the fly!

Lenovo Smart Paper

The Lenovo Smart Paper sports an eInk screen designed to give a pen-on-paper feeling, and the stylus is battery-free and never needs to be charged.

There are nine different pen settings, including ballpoint, pencil, marker, and calligraphy, so you can jot your notes or sketch in whatever style is comfortable.

It also has two integrated microphones, so if you’re taking notes in class, you can record at the same time. In fact, you can even pull up the recording to correspond to specific notes!

It has 50GB of storage, so that’s over 50,000 note pages that you can organize into folders and shuffle to your heart’s content. It can even search with keywords on handwritten notes and convert handwriting to text [note: if we ever get to review this, my handwriting will definitely be the ultimate torture test].

You can also access and search on eBooks.com, making research and note-taking a lot smoother. The Lenovo Smart Paper app can sync to Android, iOS, and Windows devices, so you’ll be able to access your notes from anywhere!

Bring handwriting to the digital age starting at $399.99 later this year.
