MWC is bringing an onslaught of new and exciting phones, and Honor is aiming for everyone’s attention with their slate this year. They’ve got the Honor Magic5 Series which includes the Magic5 and Magic5 Pro, plus the new Honor Magic Vs, their first global foldable phone!

The Magic 5 series may not fold, but it has plenty of excitement to bring. The Magic5 Pro uses what Honor calls the Star Wheel Triple Camera system, which is designed to make the camera array both useful and aesthetically pleasing. On the front, there’s a 6.81″ screen that is both HDR+ and IMAX Enhanced, plus it has reduced blue light emission thanks to Dynamic Dimming.

The camera isn’t just a pretty design, though. DXOMARK gives the camera array a score of 152 and the display a score of 151; these are the highest camera and display scores that DXOMARK has ever granted, so far at least!

It sports a 50MP Wide Camera, a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera, and a 50MP Telephoto Camera, so you’ll be snapping sharp and impressive photos in any context.

Honor is so confident in their cameras, and specifically in the AI Motion Sensing Capture, they’re partnering with Guinness World Records to photograph the official record attempt for the highest between-the-legs slam dunk.

It’s not just a pretty camera, though; under the hood, the Honor Magic5 Pro is running a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform with a dual-TEE security system they’ve co-developed with Qualcomm. This gives hardware-level protection for your data, alongside password and biometric locks.

The Honor Magic5 Pro is IP68 dust and water-resistant.

There’s even AI Privacy Call 2.0 that prevents sound leakage, meaning you can have private conversations even in crowded areas without people overhearing.

Meanwhile, Honor has some super exciting things happening on the folding phone side too. The Magic Vs is only 12.9mm thick when folded (or a half inch), and it folds using a gearless hinge that reduces the structural components from 92 down to 4.

Honor has tested the durability and believes it should be good for 400,000 folds, or 100 folds per day, for 10 years. They’ve also reduced the infamous fold gap, so the phone folds tightly plus offers a fully flat screen when unfolded.

Externally, the Honor Magic Vs offers a 6.45″ screen, and when unfolded, you get a 7.9″ screen. The phone also offers Dynamic Dimming and a circadian night display, so your eyes won’t be strained from admiring your new phone.

On the back, there’s a 50MP Main Camera, a 5oMP Ultra-Wide and Macro Main camera, and an 8MP 3x Optical Zoom Camera. Tablet, phone, and camera all in one foldable package!
