Realme has been a rapidly growing smartphone brand, and they’re looking to stand out with their new device, the realme GT3. The GT3 isn’t just a flagship smartphone; it’s a phone that has literally pushed charging to the limits!

The realme GT3 charges at an astoundingly fast rate. Sure, we’ve seen “rapid” charging before, but the GT3 has everyone beat. Like, 9 minutes and 30 seconds to fully charge the 4600 mAh battery. That means you could do two laps through a Starbucks drive-thru (average wait time of 4.4 minutes) and have two coffees AND a fully charged cell phone!

They’ve accomplished this with a few big innovations. First, there are three charging chipsets crammed into the phone to handle all that charging power. They also utilize a custom 12A charging cable, and they’ve managed to make the 240W power adapter fit down to the size of a 150W adapter.

And you don’t need to worry about battery safety; realMe took that very seriously, with a VC liquid cooling system covering 65% of the battery and TÜV Rheinland certification of the system. They’ve even done internal testing and determined the battery life should be at 80% after 1600 charging cycles, double the industry standard.

The outside is just as exciting as the inside. The design is inspired by gaming PCs in a few key ways. There’s a translucent window next to the camera that gives you a peak into the chipset, as well as an RGB  lighting ring.

The lighting ring doesn’t just look cool; it also flashes as the phone charges, going from a red effect at 20% or less and moving to a purple one as it’s more charged. It also flashes for notifications and can function as a countdown timer for photos.

There’s no word on the specifics for availability, but when the realme GT3 lands, it will start at $649. Note that this price does not include the immense time savings from being able to top off your phone in less time than it takes to watch the average YouTube video.
