At any given time, in my household, we’re streaming on the television, I’m working remotely, and my son is either doing homework online or playing Roblox. I’m guessing most households are similarly adept at using and needing more and more internet bandwidth! If you’re a Comcast Xfinity customer in Colorado Springs, you’re about to get access to a new level of speed that’ll make everyone else very, very jealous.

This new leap forward is powered by DOCSIS 4.0 technology, utilizing what Comcast is calling “Full Duplex.”

DOCSIS stands for Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification, and it’s the standard that all cable modems run on; the new 4.0 standard will allow multiple-gig downloads and uploads, hence the “duplex” moniker.

Comcast helpfully adds a plug for Peacock in their press release as well because American Ninja Warrior should be enjoyed in the highest quality streaming possible.

No matter what you’re watching, this higher speed will be available for Colorado Springs subscribers to sign up for, with Philadelphia and Atlanta coming soon.
