There are a lot of different ways to protect your home. You can go with professional monitoring or put together your own do-it-yourself solution. Xfinity has offered monitoring solutions for a while, and now they’re adding more solutions, including a new Xfinity Door/Window Sensor and an Xfinity Motion Sensor so that you can put together home security your way!

You can use them alongside Xfinity’s other home products like Indoor and Outdoor cameras, the video doorbell, and Smart Thermostat — because even if someone breaks into your house, you want to make sure your home is at a comfortable temperature. No one wants to be a rude host, even during a robbery.

All joking aside, these integrate with the Xfinity mobile app, so you can easily monitor things on the go. The do-it-yourself option runs you $10 per month while opting for professional monitoring through Xfinity is $30 per month.

The Xfinity Door/Window sensors will sell for a one-time cost of $20 each or $54 for three, and the Xfinity Motion Sensor will sell for a one-time cost of $40. Xfinity also offers financing for multipacks of the sensors over 6 or 24 months at 0%.

The Xfinity app is excellent and quite thorough, and it requires you to steal someone’s phone away to hide the immediate notifications if, say, your brother is trying to sneak into the house for a surprise party, and your father lives on his phone .. not that anyone here has personal experience with that!

You can get the new sensors by calling 1-800-Xfinity or visiting their nearest Xfinity store. Online and in-app purchasing options will be available in the coming months.

No matter how you slice it, Xfinity has your home covered for safety and connectivity!
