The Lowdown

The Victor Men’s Hooded B-3 Bomber Leather Jacket is a modern take on a classic design from World War 2 that incorporates clean lines, a soft, warm, shearling lining, and soft leather. With or without the zippered hood, it is warm and comfortable, and at $274, it is well worth the price.

Design

The Victor Men’s Hooded B-3 Bomber Leather Jacket is made of real leather with a shearling lining. It features a removable hood, a zippered closure, shearling cuffs, two interior pockets, and two exterior pockets. Belted details are at the waist and collar.

Build Quality

Unlike the original bomber jackets, which were constructed of heavy-duty leather, this leather has a soft, supple feel. The details where the leather is joined and at the seams are clean and modern. The hood is attached with a zipper. The shearling lining is soft and very warm. Its rust-orange color is another updated modern touch.

I appreciate the inclusion of two pockets on the inside as well as those on the outside of the jacket. Recently, I have come across jackets and coats that only include a single inside pocket, and as I am always carrying my wallet, phone, and at least one pair of glasses, having more spots to store gear is very welcome.

I am 6’ and about 200 pounds, and the jacket fits me as this style should. The shearling waist detail hits near my waist, and the zippered closure features a leather pull, making it easier to discern from the shearling edging.

This jacket is very warm. Even in the northeast at the end of October, the hood is too much. Although I must admit that I prefer the jacket without the hood as it looks more traditional, I’m sure there will be days when I am happy to have it ready.
