Cons
I have recently reviewed several SharkNinja kitchen appliances and have been happy with all of them. They have outdone themselves once again with the Ninja MultiPot XL 12-in-1 DualZone Multicooker. As you will see, when I say this thing does it all, it does it all! My wife is the most excellent assistant when it comes to kitchen products, and the review process has been enjoyable and probably will force me to get on a diet! We put the MultiPot through its paces, and the results speak for themselves.
Then the Ninja MultiPot XL features 12 Cooking modes: Slow Cook, Sear/Sauté, Bake, Steam, Sous Vide, Rice, Pasta, Mixed Rice, Stir Fry, Hotpot, Shallow Fry, and Keep Warm. While we have not been able to try all 12 modes, everything we have done has turned out amazing. With temps as high as 400 degrees F, the 1500W cooker can actually sear meat before slow cooking. This is not your grandma’s slow cooker.

The MultiPot can run with one large single pot or two smaller pots, all of which are included in the box. The single 7.5-quart configuration fits up to a 6 lb roast, while each 3.3-quart pot handles up to 1 pound of pasta. The pots have a non-toxic ceramic coating and clean up easily.

The magic really happens when using the two smaller pots. Each side can be kept at different temperatures. This is perfect for smaller meals or making snacks for the game. It also saves countertop space, since you only need one appliance.

Enough with stats and specs, does this thing really work? The answer is yes, and it works amazingly well. As empty nesters, we have made a ton of meals in it during the week, then made snacks and larger meals when the kids come home to visit. Dual pots are a game-changer, and keeping them at different temperatures is even more impressive.

Roasts, soups, dips…all simple and quick to make. The MultiPot reaches temperature quickly and holds it on the Keep Warm setting all day long.

We made Spanish rice on one side and refried beans on the other for fajita night. Yep, it makes rice quickly and easily! Pasta and steamed items cook quickly. We haven’t tried Sous Vide yet, but I have some steaks waiting to be the first.

One thing I have always disliked about slow cookers is the condensation that builds up on the lid. Then you lift it off and hot water drips all over the counter or spills on you. Yep, Ninja has that figured out also. There are little channels that divert that water into a reservoir for each lid. No more mess! Brilliant!

The feature that surprised me the most is Shallow Fry. We don’t eat much fried food, but we will make homemade chicken tenders with almond flour. Probably not great for us, but they have way fewer carbs than standard tenders. I was blown away by how fast the oil heated up and how well the tenders fried. The mess was much easier to clean up, and there were no oil pops or splashes all over the stovetop. I highly recommend giving the Shallow Fry a test. You will be amazed.
