Xiaomi 11T Review: Rock Solid Performance at an Affordable Price

When I reviewed the 4G Xiaomi 11 Lite, I said that Xiaomi is a brand that more of us in the United States should become familiar with and pay attention to, and that has never been more true. The Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro were announced in September; I have the 11T in hand, so let’s take a look at this affordable 5G smartphone, and see if it might be an option for you.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G Review Part 2: After Almost Two Months of Solid Use, This Next-Gen Phablet Has Proven Itself

I covered a brief history of Samsung’s journey that led us to the Galaxy Z Fold3 yesterday; let’s pick up where we left off. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 ships in a surprisingly small, shallow box. Being used to so many smartphones coming in much larger packaging, this was kind of refreshing. Most people I know either throw the boxes away anyway or store them somewhere until they eventually sell their phone on eBay, anticipating their next upgrade. I’m fine with the slightly austere packaging, even on such a pricy phone.

Realme GT Explorer Master Edition Review: Good Looks, Performance, and Value

The realme GT Explorer Master Edition has a solidly built glass slab design with an aluminum frame, as we’ve seen from just about every other brand’s flagship smartphone, or you can opt for something a bit different if you get it in the Voyager Gray option. As I catch myself admiring this smartphone’s expensive feel, brilliant display, and curved edges, I have to remind myself that with starting price of $499 for the 8GB RAM with 256GB user memory version, the GT Explorer Master Edition is a very decently priced flagship device. Who is realme? And why should you consider…

INTELLI ScoutPro 240 Watt Powerbank Review: It’s the Most Versatile Battery Pack I’ve Ever Used

Before smartphones starting touting the massive internal batteries that they have right now, you would never catch me without a small battery pack in my back pocket. While I may not carry them as much anymore due to the pandemic, with the world opening back up, I’ll need something in my everyday carry to keep my devices juiced up, and here’s why I think the INTELLI ScoutPro 240 Watt Powerbank may be the best solution.

OPPO Find X3 Pro Review: A Brilliant Android 11 Flagship in Every Way

OPPO has been making phones since 2008, yet the OPPO Find X3 Pro is the first OPPO phone that I’ve ever tried, much less reviewed. Seeing as the Find X series is OPPO’s flagship line, and the Find X3 Pro is their top model, I can’t think of a better phone to introduce me to this company, which as of January this year, has overtaken Huawei as the number one selling smartphone brand in China. I have been using the Find X3 Pro as my primary phone for the past few weeks, and I have found much to like.

Google Pixel 5 Review: You Can’t Always Get What You Want

The Google Pixel 5 was released last October as the follow-up to the Pixel 4. Rather than offering an XL version as Google had done with previous Pixel flagship models, the Pixel 5 was more of a “take it or leave it” proposition. It came in one size, a choice of two colors, and only one user memory option. There are some upgrades and some compromises, but overall it’s solid. Even so, I can admit that I wasn’t as enthused with it from the start as I had been with the Pixel 3 XL and the Pixel 4 XL.

Huawei P40 Pro+ Review: Amazing Hardware, Killer Camera, Crippled Software

For a few years now, Apple and Samsung have battled for leadership in the global smartphone market share. This is particularly obvious in regions like the US, where both brands dominate. But did you know that Chinese manufacturer Huawei is consistently in the top three as well? In fact, it was #1 in Q2 2020 — yes, the same Huawei that the US government put on an entity list in 2019, barring it from doing business with US companies like Google.

The LG Wing 5G Review: It’s Something Else!

The LG Wing 5G is one of the most intriguing phones I’ve ever tested. I’ve got the Verizon version in hand, and the AT&T version will be available soon. While phones with swivel displays are not unique or new, the LG Wing 5G is the first and only 5G smartphone to use this form factor. Their iteration of a swivel display is surprisingly innovative, intuitive, and cool.

Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra Camera Review: Great Photos, Good Videos, Giant Zoom

Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and it packs a very interesting camera system. It’s similar to what Samsung offered on the Galaxy S20 Ultra earlier this year, but with a few key differences. Since I’ve been using the company’s latest flagship for a few days, I wanted to share my experience shooting photos (primarily) and videos. So what’s new, what’s different? Is it better, is it worse? Let’s dive in.

Gear Diary’s Father’s Day 2020 Gift Guide

June 21st is Father’s Day. Let that sink in for a moment; we are already halfway through 2020. While it may seem like this has been the longest year ever, there are still six more months just waiting to spring their surprises on us — which is all the more reason to take a minute, slow down, and celebrate the fathers in our lives.

The Pixel 3a Is a Problem…

Judie has a Google Pixel 3XL and loves it. And why wouldn’t she? The phone is fast, has a gorgeous screen and, by all reports, has the camera to beat. Currently $699, that’s a good $200 less than it was initially. The Pixel 3a has a similar design, costs just $399, and it is a problem.
