HBI DreamKeeper 400 Review

When this device came to us via press release, I of course felt obligated to check it out since I have Sleep Apnea and issues getting sleep.  Does the DreamKeeper 400 keep its promise of increased deep sleep and 78 percent longer sleeping time?  Let’s find out.

HBI DreamKeeper 400 Review

Other than the Smart for Life Weight Loss Cookies, this has to be the weirdest thing I have ever had to review.

The DreamKeeper 400 comes in a nice plastic case and traveled nicely on my trip to Reston, VA in my checked luggage.

Every night, for the last 30 days or so, I went to sleep with this on my right wrist.  The DreamKeeper, once turned on, will vibrate and is supposed to stimulate the P6 accupressure point according to HBI.  Stimulating this acupressure point is supposed to product increased deep sleep and longer sleep.  It’s also supposed to help you go to sleep faster.

I experienced no improvement.  I wanted to give this a chance, but I did not experience anything but a weird sensation in my wrist.  That’s about it.  Maybe this thing works for someone, but it did nothing for me.  It’s back to a occasional Tylenol PM or Ambien CR for me.

Important to note; I took no sleep aid drugs during this period.  The only thing I might have had in addition to my regular medicines was a Tylenol or two.

Also, the battery itself started to work itself out of its slot and started to deactivate the device after just a minute or two of activity.  The battery also looked like it was proprietary, which means you’d have to order another from HBI when it dies.

The DreamKeeper 400 is available direct from HBI for $119.00 plus shipping.

What I liked: Came with a nice case.

What needs improvement: Design was good, function was not.  Look elsewhere for a sleep aid.  Ask your doctor to prescribe a sleep aid or have yourself screened for other sleep related issues by a qualified physician.
