Google has had a Twitter account called @dataliberation for a while now, but an official site was just launched today. The Data Liberation site explains how to get data into and out of Google, using standards-based, open formats.

Google’s new Data Liberation site showcases how to get information into and out of Google’s various services. Not all of their services have import/export capabilities, but they are working on getting all services for this site. In addition, they detail how companies can import and export their data from their existing platforms to and from Google.

Google Data Liberation also has a new blog that will provide timely information on their progress. The first post describes how to import Yahoo! Mail to Google.
