I had to share this example of fantastic customer service. A friend of mine is an avid runner, and for her birthday I bought her a RoadID gift certificate, to be delivered electronically to Gmail account.
Unfortunately, Gmail in its enthusiasm to reduce spam, flagged the gift card as such and she accidentally deleted it. I emailed the company this morning explaining the situation, and within a few hours my friend had her e-gift certificate and I had an email from the company letting me know it was re-sent!
There were a few things that really struck me about the experience. One, it was a good reminder to always check your spam box, as sometimes legitimate emails can sneak in by accident. Two, it highlighted the importance of great customer service, even from a small company. RoadID puts the email address of the owners under their “contact us” page, and they follow-up on the promise of a prompt response.
