Fall is upon us. That means more time inside. That means coughing. That means flu. That means… we had all do our best to stay healthy. Obviously the best way to do that is to wash your hands frequently with soap and water. In addition, a new gadget can help. The VIOlight Cellphone Sanitizer uses UV light to quickly and safely kill 99.9% of bacteria and germs that might be living on your cellphone, earbuds and other small gadgets. It is battery operated, simple to use and silent. Best of all it is under $50.

It is super simple to use.

Put the top back on and wait for the pleasant blue light to stop pulsing.

That’s it. It is quick, simple and quiet.

I can’t know if it works for sure since I do not have a bacteria-checking kit here are home, and one can only hope that it does what it promises. What I do know for sure is that it is well made, easy to use, and I’ll be using it all winter.

The Violight UV Cell Phone Sanitizer is available directly from Violight and other retailers.

MSRP: $49.95

What I Like: Simple to use: silent; battery operated; just in time for flu season

What Needs Improvement: Assuming it does what it promises… nothing.
