The Swingline Stack-and-Shred Has Arrived!

Not that you needed any further proof that I was a dork, I mean geek, but I found myself unnaturally excited when FedEx dropped off this package earlier today. Inside is the SwingLine Stack & Shred, a crosscut shredder that allows you to feed up to 100 sheets of paper at a time by lifting the lid on the front and laying the items to shred inside the tray.

Stack, Shut and Go. The Swingline Stack-and-Shred technology is built for busy executives, small and home office users and anyone who wants an easy and efficient way to personally shred. It does the work so users can multitask like they mean it. Just lift the lid, stack up to 100 sheets of paper, close the lid and get on with the day. It’s that simple. This new way to shred makes destroying large volumes of paper every month a snap, reclaiming valuable time, helping cut the risk of identity theft and ultimately saving money.

I’m going to have a lot of fun setting this up and shredding all the papers I’ve been saving because I was too nervous to throw them away intact — not that keeping them in a bag tucked under the bed made any sense either, but hey! Don’t judge! 😆

I’ve got things to shred like those “convenience checks” the credit card companies are always sending so you can transfer money or take out cash advances, insurance paperwork from years past, those prescription information tags the pharmacy always staples to your bag when you check out (the ones that have ALL of your info on them), ticket stubs, receipts I don’t need to save … so many things that have private information I see no need to share with the local identity thieves. I’ll be turning them all into cross-cut confetti soon …
