Grushing

We all know that good oral hygiene is vitally important, but if you’re a parent you also know that it can be quite a challenge to get your kids to brush their teeth and do the job right every time. Grush, the Gaming Toothbrush for Kids, aims to solve that problem and is currently running a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo.

The creators have paired a motion sensing toothbrush with mobile games and the Grush Cloud. Kids brush their teeth and have fun doing so by connecting brushing with games in which they chase monsters away from their teeth, turn the toothbrush into a virtual conductor’s wand, or care for a virtual pet like a pony.

The Grush Cloud is where parents can access the data on their children’s brushing habits and even send the information over to their child’s dentist for review if necessary.

The Grush comes in different color schemes for girls and boys, and comes with two replacement brush heads and a smartphone hanger that attaches to the bathroom mirror so that kids can see their progress as they brush their teeth.

Rewards range from $49 for the early bird Grush Brush all the way up to $10,000 for Platinum Tusk Heroes that have the opportunity to meet with the Grush gaming toothbrush creative team in San Francisco. The project has raised almost $19,000 of the $50,000 goal, with 20 days left in the campaign.
