Able to charge your mobile phone or tablet repeatedly without being plugged in again, the Harmonica Style Power Bank is slim, powerful, and at $21, it’s amazingly CHEAP.
For just a smidgen over $20, you might expect some cheaply made hulk of plastic that weighs a ton and is, well, ugly. But the Lumsing 10400mAh Power Bank is actually a very well made and classy looking tool. The battery’s packaging is surprisingly nice, and it includes a velvety carrying pouch, a microUSB cable, a user manual, and an invitation to join the Lumsing power user program.

There are two versions of the Power Bank available, champagne gold and brushed silver or shiny black and brushed silver, The Power Bank absolutely resembles a harmonica, and on the side where you would ordinarily put your mouth, you’ll find a 1amp USB port, a 2amp USB port (great for tablets!), four LED lights that indicate the battery level when charging or when being used. The button next to the LEDs will start the charger.
There’s a microUSB charging port on the left side of the external battery. Lumsing says that it takes about 6 hours to fully charge from empty if you are doing it from a laptop’s USB port, and that seems about right, but you can make the process go more quickly by plugging it into a (not included) 5 V 2.1amp wall charger.
If you have a device that uses a MicroUSB charger, you can use the same cable that charges the battery to charge your phone. If you use an iOS product, then you’ll need to supply your own 30-pin or Lightning cable.
The Lumsing 10400mAh Power Bank feels really good in hand, and it is slim enough that it can slip into almost any pocket. It’s one of those things that you’ll want to keep charged and in your gear bag, because when you need it, it will be extremely handy.
I’m blown away by the Power Banks good looks, high-capacity, and cheap price. If you are looking for an external battery pack, you can’t go wrong with this one.
