Remember when a portable battery pack that held 20,000mAh was a beast to lug around? Thankfully, those days are over. The 20,000mAh Aukey Basix Blade Series Power Banks are much smaller and lighter than many similar capacity Li-Ion battery packs. Wait until you see what I mean …

We recently took a look at the Goal Zero Sherpa 100PD. It’s a fantastic power bank that saved the day when we lost power some weeks ago. That was just one of the Goal Zero products that saved the day. The second was the Goal Zero YETI 200X Portable Power Station; it’s a powerhouse of a power station!
A storm some weeks ago left us in the cold, literally. We had no idea how long the power would be out, but my wife and I still needed to work. Thankfully, we’d been sent the Goal Zero Sherpa 100PD Power Bank and Yeti 200X Portable Power Station for us to check out; these power sources kept our phones, tablets, and computers going until our electricity returned.

Each of these delivers up to 18W of power with PD 3.0 output (USB Type-C) and Quick Charge 3.0 output (USB Type-A), and they’ll work with all of your portable gear.
Mophie is well-known for their mobile phone battery cases, and while I don’t love the added bulk that style case adds, I do find myself needing a little extra juice now and then with no outlet in sight. The mophie powerstation plus is a well-designed mobile power bank that has an integrated Lightning cable.
June 21st is Father’s Day. Let that sink in for a moment; we are already halfway through 2020. While it may seem like this has been the longest year ever, there are still six more months just waiting to spring their surprises on us — which is all the more reason to take a minute, slow down, and celebrate the fathers in our lives.
Greg recently reviewed the 6,700mAh myCharge Hub Turbo portable battery pack. He describes it as the “Swiss Army Knife of Portable Battery life.” MyCharge recently sent Judie and me the 10,050mAh MyCharge Hub Turbo, and we are pleased to report that Greg was more than correct in his description and, perhaps, even a bit understated; it is a fantastic external battery.

Pitaka makes some of the best smartphone cases available; I use their MagEZ Case daily (read our review) as well as the Pitaka MagEZ Mount QI car charger (read our review), and both are fantastic. Raina finally updated to an iPhone 8. She wasn’t initially interested in its wireless charging, but after I put a wireless charging pad in her home office she changed her mind. Now she’s a fan, so I got her a myCharge 10K. We looked at this affordable wireless battery pack some time ago; it’s worth a second look.
It’s getting warm outside which can only mean it’s time to start traveling, and what better way to travel in style than with Away? We received their Aluminum Bigger Carry-On, and it’s a beauty.
Phones and tablets have become increasingly powerful. Sadly, the batteries powering them have not improved dramatically. This is a love story, but it ends in tragedy. It begins on a ranch in West Texas, travels to New York City, then Tel Aviv and then Jerusalem, and then it all ends tragically in Paris. I’m talking about my experience with the myCharge HubMax Universal, the best battery pack I’ve yet owned … and then lost.
I have two gear pouches, a small one for every day and a large one for travel. Each carries an external battery and a wall adapter for charging. Thanks to the [FUSE]chicken Universal All-In-One Travel Charger, I can swap the two gadgets for a single one, as this is a wall adapter and a Qi charging battery.
If you don’t mind using a portable battery pack without built-in charging cables, you’ll have plenty of options. If, however, you want a battery pack with built-in charging cables, your choices will be much more limited along which particular devices that work with that particular charger. Unless you get the intelliARMOR Scout Wireless Charger; it works with everything.
