Incase is known for their innovative phone cases, laptop sleeves, and similar accessories and these two new cases for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are no exception. The Pop Case with hard-shell exterior provides full back, edge, and corner protection while the Textured Snap Case incorporates a textured eco-friendly fabric finish. Both cases are available for $34.95 and $39.95 respectively.

Textured Snap Cases on the left. Pop Cases on the right.

The Pop Case is a fairly simple case, however, it features two-toned aesthetics with a light gray finish around the exterior of the case and a translucent black finish on the rear of the case. The bumper portion of the case is rubberized, while the rear of the case feels harder. The Pop Case offers extremely lightweight protection, with the case itself weighing only 1.15 ounces.

The Pop Case is also raised on the screen side of the phone to protect the iPhone’s touchscreen from drops and surfaces. The Pop Case also provides perfectly sized access to the phone’s ports, including speakers, lightning port, and mute switch. The rubberized bumper also allows the volume and power buttons to be easily pushed through while being protected.

The Textured Snap Case features a co-molded design, with a shock absorbent TPU bumper with polycarbonate frame. This design is intended to provide excellent impact resistance. Inside the case is a micro-suede interior lining to protect the back of your phone, while the rear of the case features 300 denier heathered weave Ecoya eco-dyed poly wrap.   The fabric on the rear of the case provides a very nice aesthetic contrast against the TPU portion of the case.

Similar to the Pop Case, the Textured Snap Case has a raised bezel to protect the screen. Another similarity is to the Pop Case is that the Textured Snap Case also provides great protection with minimal added weight or bulk. The Textured Snap Case weighs only 1.5 ounces. The Textured Snap Case is also precision engineered to provide perfect access to the lighting port, speaker port, mute switch, and camera/flash, while also allowing for easy use of the volume and power buttons.

My only complaint with the Textured Snap Case is that, due to the nature of the weaved fabric, I have seen some threads coming lose, although it has not affected the look of the case so far.

The Textured Snap Case is available in 3 colors, including heather khaki, heather deep red, and heather black.

Both cases are great options if you’re looking for simple protection for your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, however they won’t protect your phone from high drops. If you’re looking for additional protection, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

The Pop Case will set you back $34.95, while the Textured Snap Case will set you back $35.95.

You can purchase both cases directly from the manufacturer at Incase.com.

What I Like: Slim, lightweight protection; Great access to ports and buttons; Raised bezel to protect screen; Nice design aesthetics.

What Needs Improvement: Threads come loose at times on the Textured Snap Case.
