I remember when MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) launched in the late 1990s, allowing us to jump back to the joy of the games we loved in the early 1980s arcades. MAME has provided nostalgic fun for millions of gamers over the last two decades, but even better is games like Spirefall that recapture those feelings in a new experience!

Spirefall 1

Developer Gameblyr announced the release of Spirefall, which is described as a Procedurally Generated Endless Jumper (PGEJ) and old-school arcade game. From the developer:

“Spirefall provides unique challenges every time you play and is a great throwback to the games we grew up on,” said Marco Mereu, CEO of Gameblyr. “Gameplay is still king, and Spirefall will put a smile on your face, guaranteed. We hope people enjoy competing with their friends for high scores and look forward to seeing if anyone can scale the tower.”

In this endless arcade game you can run and jump your cat up the spire before it falls out from under you! Avoid deadly traps like super hot flame throwers, sharp spikes, weird little robots, crushing hammers, and collapsing platforms, as you make your way through endless levels that are never the same!

Spirefall 2

Spirefall is one of those ‘easy to learn, but hard to master’ games that present a fun challenge – and you can share the fun by competing with friends for the high score!
