Vivint products have made my home much smarter and more secure. The company keeps innovating, recently announcing the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro. “Customers want us to do more than just record and report crime—they expect us to help prevent it,” said Matt Mahar, vice president of cameras at Vivint Smart Home.
The new camera allows users to see tall visitors as well as packages left directly below with the 180-degree vertical and horizontal field of view, along with a 1:1 aspect ratio. The Smart Sentry analytics will detect a package being left and activate deterrent features. A flashing red LED light ring and a warning tone alerts the person they have been spotted. My outdoor camera on the driveway also utilizes the Smart Sentry technology and will startle visitors that are not prepared for it. The camera will still include all of the great features of the current model, but it adds peace of mind by helping to protect packages. In a world of online shopping, this will prove to be a fantastic feature.
