Since the pandemic began, people have been spending most of their time at home, both for work and school. With so much attention on air quality in offices and schools, many people have overlooked the air quality in the home, until now. This summer, the Airthings View Plus will be available for comprehensive, advanced in-home air quality monitoring.
What sets the new Airthings View Plus apart from other air quality monitoring devices is that it monitors for particulate matter (PM) and can detect two size ranges, PM2.5 and PM1. Particulate matter is the invisible “stuff” floating in the air that can be hazardous to your health. This “stuff” is made from solid and liquid particles that come from various chemicals such as construction, cleaning products, paints, perfumes, unpaved roads, fields, etc.
The Airthings View Plus is an affordable and convenient way to monitor all of the important measurements in your air. It monitors radon, PM, CO2, humidity, airborne chemicals (VOC), temperature, air pressure, and even outdoor air quality.
The $299 Airthings View Plus comes with a display where you can check on the current air quality readings in your home. You can pair the View Plus with additional hubs to expand the monitoring all around your home. The device comes with an app that has a dashboard to help you track any potentially dangerous levels of toxins in your home. Additionally, the app can be set to send you alerts and notifications. Airthings says that we can expect the View Plus to be released in early Summer, 2021.
I am eager to test out the Airthings View Plus in my home to ensure that the air we breathe is safe and healthy, and I’ll have a full review of the Airthings View Plus after I’ve had a chance to test it out. In the meantime, you can learn more or pre-order (with a $30 discount) by clicking here.
