XGIMI HORIZON Max Offers the Bells and Whistles of IMAX Enhanced Certification, While the XGIMI Aladdin Offers a 3-in-1 Projector, Lamp, and Speaker That Installs Like a Standard Ceiling Light

XGIMI, known for its projectors and laser TVs, has just announced several new technologies; among these are ISA 5.0 (Intelligent Screen Adaptation) and Dual Light 2.0, as well as partnerships with IMAX & DTS, Google, and MediaTek. Also showcased were the brand’s new 2024 projectors, the IMAX Enhanced certified XGIMI HORIZON Max and the XGIMI Aladdin, a 3-in-1 smart projector lamp and speaker that marks XGIMI’s entry into the smart home-connected product category.

XGIMI HORIZON Max

The XGIMI HORIZON Max, which will launch in late 2024, is a Long Throw smart projector with IMAX Enhanced certification, bringing IMAX’s picture and sound into your home.

It introduces ISA 5.0 technology, which uses hardware and software enhancements for an automated motorized gimbal. The gimbal enables the HORIZON Max to automatically locate the best projection positioning on the wall, and intelligently remember settings for specific walls.

In other words, if you want to use the HORIZON Max for gaming on one side of the room but prefer watching movies on a different wall, the projector will seamlessly transition when moved — differentiating between the walls and automatically adapting its software and hardware settings for the best experience.

Incorporating 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology into ISA 5.0 improves the XGIMI HORIZON Max’s capacity to sense and understand the surrounding space effortlessly.

You’ll get a seamless and user-friendly experience because the complications typically associated with traditional projectors have been eliminated, leaving you with a more convenient and straightforward way to operate the projector — just about anywhere.

HORIZON Max achieves excellent picture quality using Dual Light 2.0 technology, which uses a triple laser and phosphor light source.

This optical engine is equipped with MCL lasers, which are commonly used in commercial theaters; because of the upgrade to Dual Light 2.0, XGIMINI HORIZON Max provides a viewing experience that is cinematic and comfortable.

With this projector, you can expect an ultra-wide color gamut, ultra-high brightness (3,100 ISO Lumens), ultra-high contrast (2000:1 native contrast ratio), and ultra-high color accuracy.

In fact, the XGIMI HORIZON Max delivers the brand’s brightest display yet, offering an impressive 35% increase from the HORIZON Ultra.

I can’t wait to see the HORIZON Max in action because I already thought the HORIZON Ultra was spectacular!

We’ll have more info and a confirmed selling price later this year, but I have it on good authority that the XGIMI Horizon Ultra will sell for under $3,000.

XGIMI Aladdin

And then we have the XGIMI Aladdin, a clever, space-saving convergent device that combines a smart ceiling lamp, a high-end projector, and connected speakers into one.

XGIMI Aladdin

This 3-in-1 solution will provide an immersive viewing experience of up to 100″. It installs like a standard ceiling light, so there’s no need for an extensive, in-ceiling setup.

If you’ve given any thought to how a projector might fit into your space, what to do about screen blockage, how to deal with glare, and how to get an immersive viewing experience without giving up floor space, Aladdin has you covered. On top of that, Aladdin will also offer dynamic wallpapers, interactive children’s books, and ambient sounds.

XGIMI’s partnership with MediaTek is also worth pointing out because their entire premium product line is adopting MediaTek’s cutting-edge chips. In 2024, we can expect further collaborations between XGIMI, MediaTek, and Google TV, bringing even more intelligent projection solutions that will bring even more home entertainment options.
