The best desk chairs have a few key features. They are well-built and sturdy, but they are not too heavy. They have a breathable seat and backrest. They offer enough neck and lumbar support for long work sessions. And they have enough adjustments but aren’t overly complex. The Sihoo Doro-C300 Ergonomic Office Chair ticks all those boxes.
So many jobs currently require a lot of sitting, especially for those working from home, and all of this sitting can take a toll on your body if your office chair is uncomfortable. The Sihoo M57 full mesh breathable office chair offers an affordable option that looks great and brings comfort from the headrest to the back and the legs.
A few years ago, I purchased an exercise bike with a small desk large enough for a laptop. The exercise bike was uncomfortable, and the desk surface was too small; I never liked it enough to use it regularly. Recently, I’ve been trying out the Flexispot Sit2Go 2-in-1 Fitness Chair. The Sit2Go is a desk chair and exercise bike combination that works with your current standing desk; it’s turned out to be an excellent option for staying active even as I sit writing!
I recently reviewed the Mavix M5 Gaming Chair, and I’m currently writing this post while comfortably sitting in it. Mavix is known for comfort, build quality, and premium features; the company has just announced the M4 Gaming Chair, now available for preorder. Starting at $444, the Mavix M4 Gaming Chair comes in as the most affordable option in their line.
Whether gaming or working, what you choose to sit on can greatly affect your performance. Everyone has unique ergonomics and comfort adjustment choices, and the Mavix M5 Gaming Chair addresses all. Add in the Elemax to keep you cool, warm your muscles, and add therapeutic massage, and we are looking at a complete game-changer.
Having a good desk chair was key to surviving months of working from home during the pandemic. Raina and I both use comfortable, ergonomic chairs that have served us well. The NEXVOO NEXCHAIR has a similar design to my current chair, but there’s one big difference. As the company puts it, NEXCHAIR is “the world’s first health monitoring chair.”
Back in March, when the pandemic started, my job decided early to send us home to work safely. They supplied us with monitors, keyboards, mice, and well wishes, but the one thing we couldn’t take home was our standing desk. This resulted in hours of sitting at my apartment’s kitchen island with improper posture while getting my work done. Fully recently offered me the opportunity to check out their Remi standing desk, and let me tell you… without it, I wouldn’t have been nearly as productive.
For the past three months, I’ve been working from home; now, I sit at my kitchen island for hours on end. About two weeks ago, I started having chest pains because of my terrible posture, and the majority of that stemmed from the chair I was using. This changed when I received the X-Chair X3 Management Office Desk Chair.
What’s worse than being stuck at a desk for hours in an uncomfortable chair? Nothing. Autonomous is here to fix your aching back with their ErgoChair 2. The ErgoChair 2 is perfect for desk work, video gaming, and more when you’ll be sitting for hours at a time. The ErgoChair 2 is made of quality, long-lasting materials and is selling now for $319.
I recently reviewed the Vari ProPlus 36 Electric Sit-Stand desk converter. It’s awesome. (Read my review.) I also reviewed the Vari PowerHub. It’s also pretty great. (Read my review.) In the third and last review of this series, we are taking a look at the Vari Active Seat. This unusual chair was built with sit-stand desks in mind!
I bought an L-shaped bamboo-topped standing desk last year. With grand illusions of doing all of my work while standing, I also bought the large Topo Mat to help with fatigue … but after 10 minutes of standing still, my back starts hurting, and I’m back in my chair — gah! And then I got the Ergo Impact LeanRite Elite.
Raina and I were visiting friends in Florida. They had a Lexus IS250. I drove one for six years, and the bucket seats were even more comfortable than I remembered. It occurred to me that a desk chair with the same design would be awesome! Well, the $349 RapidX Ferrino Desk Chair is just that — a bucket seat-inspired chair!
I was so impressed with the Human Solutions UPLIFT standing desks and accessories I reviewed last fall that I purchased a larger version of the UPLIFT desk for my office at the synagogue. The company also sent a Pursuit Ergonomic Chair for review. It too impressed me, so I also purchased one for my office. Here’s why I’m a fan.
One of the coolest things about CES is getting to know new companies such as RapidX. They have two key products they are showing off this year, one for the home and the other for use in the car, and we thought it would be fun to take a quick look at both, as well as one additional RapidX product.
Human Solutions, makers of great sit-stand desks suggests, “It’s time to rethink the concept of what an ergonomic office chair should be. The stylish and ergonomic UPLIFT Motion Stool has what your body needs for any type of perch-standing at your desk.” They sent me one for review with their UPLIFT Desk and I am sold.
There’s been a big shift in the workplace environment, with many desk workers breaking free from their chairs and turning to standing desks. Loctek is looking to serve the not-so-lazy office worker with their new FlexiSpot sit-stand desktop workstations. With effortless transitions from sitting to standing and back to sitting, this convenient solution impresses.
This is the time of year when I do more writing than any other. In addition to my normal sermons and Gear Diary reviews, this is the time of year when I have to write my high holy day sermons. That’s where something like the amazing Ergotron WorkFit-T, Sit-Stand Desktop Workstation comes in more than a bit handy.
