Rad Power Bikes’ Exciting New 2024 Collection Has Something for Everyone!

Rad Power Bikes has long been a leader in the evolving electric bike market and has announced several new bikes. They look great, and each one will meet a different need. Let’s look at what is coming and see why one or more of them may be the right electric bike for you or your family.

The Rad Power Bikes’ Radster Road

The $1999 Rad Power Bikes’ Radster Road is designed as an all-around bike for people who want to leave their car in the garage and get to work, school, or run errands more environmentally. It is powerful, has great features, and can reach up to 28 miles per hour.

The company describes it this way:

The Radster Road isn’t just the best commuter bike—it’s the perfect commuter bike. It can reach up to 28 mph when you’re running late, give you enough range to cover your entire town, and keep you feeling great for hours—thanks to two ergonomic frame options that prioritize rider comfort. And the best part? It’s just as fun and capable on the weekend.

The Radster Road can carry riders up to 290 pounds and has a maximum load capacity of 320 pounds. It offers a range of up to 65 miles per charge. (Of course, that depends on multiple factors such as rider weight, terrain, and speed.) This bike can handle all but the steepest hills thanks to a powerful 750W motor that delivers a whopping 100Nm of torque.

I live in a town with some significant elevation changes. I have ridden several excellent bikes that do superbly on flat or relatively flat ground but struggle to get up the hill to my house. This is a commuter bike that will fly up the hills!

But there’s more. The Radster Road ships with several important safety features so you can ride confidently. These include dual turn signals, a brighter 200-lumen headlight, and a Safe Shield battery with thermal-resistant technology.

With increasing concern about electric bike battery safety, I’m glad to see a company like Rad Power Bikes taking steps to rebuild consumer confidence that their bikes are not only excellent but safe as well.

The Rad Power Bikes’ Radster Road has one additional feature I’ve never seen before. It offers a fob and a personal security code that will lock the bike and prevent it from powering on.

Combined with a bike lock, that will help keep the bike where you expect it to be and prevent family members (read teens) from using it without permission.

The Radster is also flexible. Depending on your chosen setting, it can be a Class 1, Class 2 e-bike, or Class 3 e-bike. In other words, you can get a workout when you want one on the weekends or zip to work and arrive without breaking a sweat during the week. It’s one bike that’s ready for work and fun.

It looks great, and I hope to get my hands on one to review. Stay tuned!

Of course, a trail bike often risks getting wet, whether you plow through a puddle or get caught in a downpour. The good news is that the bike has industry-leading IPX6 weather protection, so it can get wet and keep on going. Add in a bright 200-lumen headlight, and the Radster Trail is ready for your next offroad adventure.

People love folding bikes for one good reason- not everyone has a fun, safe place to ride near them. The new Rad Power Bikes’ RadExpand 5 Plus Electric Folding Bike is a feature-packed folding bike you can take with you. As the company explains,

We’ve taken the classic RadExpand folding bike and enhanced it with all-new tech, impressive range, and features that make it more comfortable, capable, and unique. Tackle tougher terrain with a hydraulic front suspension fork, and enjoy smoother rides wherever you wander with the all-new torque sensor that responds to how you ride.

The $1899 bike’s powerful 750W motor delivers up to 60 miles per charge and 64Nm of torque. Due to their design, many folding bikes have lower weight capacities, but the RadExpand can handle riders up to 225 pounds and total loads up to 315 pounds. That makes it a great “take it anywhere” bike and a perfect alternative transport vehicle for running local errands.

The bike features a responsive torque sensor, hydraulic brakes, and rear turn signals, so it’s comfortable and safe to ride on the streets or trails.

People also like folding bikes because they can be collapsed and stowed inside a garage or their home. Unfortunately, recent battery issues with some brands have raised concerns among potential consumers.

Thankfully, like all of Rad Power Bike’s new offerings, the RadExpand 5 offers the company’s Safe Shield Battery anti-thermal technology for extra protection.

The RadWagon 5 provides a condensed frame for better handling, a plethora of advanced safety features, and more carrying capacity than ever before. But it’s not just better for kids and cargo — it’s been revamped to help riders from 4’11” to 6’3″ find their fun.

Who knows better than parents what’s needed for a bike like this? That is why the parents on the company’s design team helped develop the Rad Power Bike’s RadWagon 5 Electric Cargo Bike.

The company is also offering a range of new family-friendly accessory combos. With them, customers can customize their bikes to get the perfect vehicle for school drop-off or cruising along with their kiddos.

Add in a lower center of gravity than found on previous models, and you have an electric bike that is truly an electric workhorse.

We love what Rad Power Bikes has done with their new lineup. They’ve added power, addressed battery concerns, and added or enhanced features while keeping the prices attainable. We hope to review the Radster Road, so watch for that.
