A good ceiling fan is an important part of any house in the South. If you’re like me, your home has outdated fans that need replacing. New fans are more energy efficient and have more features. I was sent a Hisummer 52-inch Modern Ceiling Fan to review; I installed it, and it has proven to be a great addition to my living room.
The Hisummer 52-inch Modern Ceiling Fan is a five-blade, six-speed ceiling fan with great features. Its powerful airflow of 4580 CFM is ideal for rooms between 144 and 400 square feet. The energy-efficient DC motor consumes 80% less electricity than traditional AC motors. In addition to being energy efficient, I am amazed at how quiet the motor is, as we usually run it 24 hours a day.
Everything needed to install the Hisummer 52-inch Modern Ceiling Fan is included, and there is an extension for taller ceilings. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The wires were already in place since we were replacing a really old fan.
Along with the extension option, the blades are also reversible for a customized look. We chose to use the natural wood side since it matches the style of our decor in our old country house. The silver side does give the fan a much more modern look, though.
The Hisummer 52-inch Modern Ceiling Fan’s control box and remote antenna are wired by connecting three wires that are all color-coded. It is really simple to connect and install.
Once the mounting bracket is installed, you’ll connect the positive and negative wires and ground. Then, you’ll tuck the control box into the mount, and the fan will be ready for final installation.
It helps to have at least two sets of hands to make the mounting more manageable, but it can be done with just one person.
The Hisummer 52-inch Modern Ceiling Fan is great looking and a welcome upgrade in our living room. It is much lighter than the old fan we had and runs super quiet.
The LED lights are great and can be set to three different color profiles. We chose the warm color since it matches the other lighting in the space. Perhaps the only improvement I can think of would be that it would be nice if the fan’s LED light had brightness-dimming options.
The remote is easy to use and a great feature. I love being able to click a number to choose the fan speed and not pull a chain, guessing which setting it is on. We mounted the remote on the wall to keep it from being lost in the couch cushions or wandering off.

My son and I installed the fan in about 30 minutes, taking our time to ensure everything was done correctly. The remote and LED light are great features that make the light more straightforward to use. You cannot get many more features with great design for the price.
In fact, I plan to replace two more fans in our house with Hisummer fans!

I think it might be too big for my bedroom (I’m not sure how big my current one is), but when I redo my back patio – I’d like something like this!
