Going to a spa for a quality steam sauna experience is a luxury in two ways. First, you have to pay for the spa treatment or a pricey membership. Second, you have to haul yourself to the spa, schlepping your clothes and gear, unless you like to drive home all sweaty and stinky. Hazemor has just released a home steam room that they claim can be set up and taken down in minutes. Even better, it can be stored under a bed. We’ve got one coming for a full hands-on test, but until then, let’s take a look at the Hazemor Instant Sauna Tent.
What Is It?
The Hazemor Instant Sauna Tent is what it sounds like – a tent where you can enjoy a steam sauna. This isn’t a dry sauna with a heating element that heats the air. This is a steam sauna. An external reservoir heats water, and pipes steam into the tent. The beauty of this is that it takes just under a four-foot by four-foot space when set up and collapses and stores in a bag that you can slide under a bed,
How Do You Set It Up?
Setup is straightforward. Pull the tent out of the box and unfold it.
Pull the frame up.
Slide the locking arms up, and you’re ready to steam.
After a session, let the walls dry and then reverse the process to store the tent.
What Does It Do?
The 3L external steamer tank holds the water. Plug it into a 110V socket, add water, and go. If you use hot water, it produces 131°F steam within a minute or two. Using room temperature or tap water delays the steam by six to eight minutes. The tent includes a folding chair. Place it inside, have a seat, and relax.
They offer optional red & near-infrared light tubes for a heat + light session.
The tent can be used for both simultaneously.
If you only want the benefits of a red light treatment, you can optionally just do a light therapy session,
One complaint about these types of home solutions is that they feel cramped. Hazemor added clear skylights to make the tent feel more open and inviting.
Where Can I Use It?
The beauty of this solution is that it can be used anywhere you have a clear space on your floor that measures 47″ x 47″ with 76″ of overhead space. The only other requirement is a nearby electric outlet. I’m not sure I’d choose my living room, but hey, who knows?
When done, fold it up into its 41″ × 12″ × 12″ storage bag and store it anywhere.
Gear Diary will put the Hazemor Instant Sauna Tent through the full-sweat test very soon. Watch this space for a full review.
