Players will also likely see eventual console versions like widely popular The Sims 3 did. The Sims 3 launched in June 2009 and included several stuff packs and expansion packs including The Sims 3: Into the Future, which released on October 22 when this release was first announced.

In development at Maxis’ The Sims Studio, The Sims 4 brings all new ways to play with life; powerful new creative tools, all-new Sims with enhanced emotion and intelligence. Sculpt your Sims in Create A Sim and construct unique homes with the tactile room-based Build Mode.

The Sims has sold 175 million units to date and continues to enhance its rich multi-platform portfolio with offerings that inspire creativity and reach one of the broadest audiences in gaming. For more information about The Sims, visit www.TheSims.com.

The Sims games series has been amazing overall even with the My Sims game series and the short-lived SimsSocial on Facebook. It’s great to play a game in a virtual simulation world that still goes on whether your player is there or not. Are you going to pre-order The Sims 4?
