I’ve wanted “The Ex” Voodoo Knife Holder set since I first saw the red one years ago, but … for whatever reason I held back, and now I’m glad I did. The original was made of plastic, and its blades were made in China. This Kickstarter project brings ‘The Ex’ to us in a solid metal stand with German blades.
Achtung, exes!
And no, you haven’t seen this guy in metal before — you may have seen a chrome colored plastic version of him online or in stores, but as RICSB explained on Kickstarter,
You may have seen our chrome COLORED version made of plastic with chrome plating. This is a very different product as described above in the comparison chart showing plastic vs. Polished Metal.
I’m seriously excited about the fact that I got in on the early bird special level; I may not have mine in time for the holidays (meh, who cares?!), but don’t think that I won’t have a spot in the kitchen saved for my special little friend.
As of this writing, there are 48 more slots in the $375 level for those of you (like me) who always wanted this set, but just wished the knives and the holder were a little bit nicer. Someone was listening, y’all. Hooray. 😉
I like that this set comes with the clear sheaths for the included five knives — anything to help keep me from accidentally stabbing myself is always a good thing; no joke.
If you want your own little voodoo knife holder, but you are okay with plastic, you can pick one up for a discounted price of $150 with free shipping; they are usually $159 plus tax at Amazon, Walmart, and everywhere else that sells them, plus you’ll be helping to make my metal man a reality … so what do you say? Pretty please?
If you want the metal voodoo knife holder before the holidays, you can throw down $650, and they’ll make sure that you get the hookup. It’s all up to you!
