Wearables have made a huge leap forward from rubber-strapped old-school Fitbits. Now, you can disguise your fitness tracker as everything from a regular-looking watch to a discreet ring. Circular jumped headfirst into the increasingly competitive ring tracker space with their first Circular Ring, and now the Circular Ring 2 is coming with even more features!
First of all, the Circular Ring 2 is sporting FDA-approved AFib detection and an ECG. This way, you’re not only getting an arbitrary reading of your heart rate but also getting useful data! It also offers up to 8 days of battery life and a wireless charger to make topping it off super easy. They’re offering it in four colors: gold, silver, black, and rose gold.
However, the digital sizing tool might really make Circular Ring 2 stand out. They’re offering Digital Ring Sizing via the app on your phone, so you won’t have to send away for a measuring set first to ensure you have the right size. One of the big obstacles to digital rings is the annoying aspect of figuring out what size will fit your finger properly, so this is a neat way to get around that bit of buying friction!
Circular emphasizes that this update is as much about aesthetics as features. Therefore, the ring and app are getting makeovers to look good no matter what you wear.
This is a PSA: As with all fitness rings, please remove them before doing any lifting or grip work—the skin on your finger will thank you.
The Circular Ring 2 will start shipping by March. After a crowdfunding campaign launched in January, pricing will start at $380. You can learn more about it by clicking here.
This sounds like a nice fitness ring, and the 8 day battery life sounds good.
