MAMMOTION Makes Their Mowers Smarter and Stronger with Tri-Fusion Positioning!

At some point, we may regret outsourcing so many household chores to robots. Until then, however, it’s exciting to see how they’re evolving from proof of concept to rapidly improving “how did we live without this” devices! MAMMOTION has been leading the way with their lawnmowers, and their latest devices out of IFA 2025 show that if you’ve been on the fence about robotic landscapers, now is the time to jump in.

To understand why MAMMOTION’s offerings are so exciting, it’s essential to quickly review the biggest pitfalls in robot lawnmowers. Originally, they required wires and other boundaries so they didn’t develop a taste for your neighbor’s begonias. Then, technology improved, and they were able to use LiDAR (light detection and ranging) to navigate, as well as RTK (real-time kinematic positioning, aka using GPS to orient). As Mammotion has pointed out, LiDAR is weak in open areas with no landmarks, while RTK is weak in shaded areas where the signal can be weak.

So MAMMOTION combined them into what they call the “Tri-Fusion Positioning System”, where LiDAR, RTK, and AI-powered cameras combine to navigate your lawn seamlessly. It can handle shade, hills, weird fencing, all without sacrificing that perfectly even lawn cut your HOA demands.

Hedgehog approved!

You can tap into the power of these new mowers with the LUBA mini AWD LiDAR with Tri-Fusion Positioning System. It can utilize that three-part sensor system on lawns up to 1,500 square meters. And if you’re an American, that’s the equivalent of roughly 3 basketball courts, 5 tennis courts, or .93 NHL regulation hockey rinks. In other words, your normal-sized backyard can easily be covered by the LUBA mini.

Right now it’s only available in the EU, starting at €2,299, but expect USA and UK availability soon.

If you don’t need the Triforce Tri-Fusion, the LUBA 2 AWD can handle up to 10,000 square meters with Ultrasense AI and RTK mapping. It also clocks in at only 60 dB, making it quiet AND hands-off. Save your back, and keep your neighbors from getting annoyed at your 3 am mowing habit, all starting at $2,599 in the USA.

MAMMOTION is also jumping into (pun intended) the pool cleaning market with the Spino E1. It’ll offer 5,800 GPH suction power,  a triple motor system for efficiency, and a SmartArc intelligent cleaning path that will maximize the cleaning without wasting anyone’s time. It has 3.5 hours of runtime and can be managed via an app, meaning you could sit inside in the cool AC, send your robot to clean your pool, and then head outside once it’s time to play. It’s available for pre-order starting at $599.
