I absolutely love ElementCase’s iPhone case offerings. The cases look awesome. The cases feel awesome. And the cases always get attention. And the new Sector5 Case for the iPhone 5 is no exception. The rugged, industrial design is eye-catching and, even from the pictures, it is clear this is one tough case. Here’s what the company has to say,
After a year of development and a huge launch of the Sector 4 FE, the iPhone 5 finally arrived and we were able to add final touches and begin production of the new Sector 5. The Sector 5’s super thin multi-link perimeter frame design is comprised of 8 individual links to create a modular design that allows endless customization or upgrade possibilities. Each of the 8 links are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum billet as well as a proprietary aerospace polymer which maintains signal strength. US made stainless steel fasteners are used to attach the links to form an ultra strong, feather light design.
And while previous ElementCase cases took time to instal and remove thanks to a norm of four different, tiny screws per case, this case is helped closed by a single screw. That means it will be far easier to put on and take off. In addition, the Sector FE (First Edition) model comes with both a Carbon Fiber back and an Ultrasuede back. In addition, “The finish on the limited Sector 5 FE is a dark Graphite Grey with our proprietary Flux Finish that is satin smooth to the touch. Each FE case is laser engraved with a special insignia on the inside of the case.”
Here’s a rundown of the features:
Ultra thin “Multi-link” system for fast and easy installation
Modular design for replacement and part customization or upgrade options
CNC machined craftsmanship made in the USA using aerospace grade materials
Large volume control ports for easy access
Laser engraved FE “First Edition” insignia
Large peripheral ports, fully compatible for the 30 Pin connectors or Lightning cables
Protective Zipper case with transit kit (screen protector and speed wrench)
Carbon Fiber back plate and Genuine Ultra suede back plate
And, of course, the case is made in the USA!
