We reviewed Spigen SGP’s Illuzion for the iPhone 5 some months ago. Fast forward a bit and the Samsung GALAXY Note 2 is gaining an increasing number of fans. The phablet (phone/tablet hybrid) is an impressive device and I am seeing an increasing number of people carrying them. As with all “take everywhere” devices you are going to want to protect the Note 2. One terrific option is the SGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2. Let’s look at it on video and then run down some of the specifics.
As you can see it is a nicely protective case that also adds some extra utility. The Note 2 snaps into theSGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2 quite easily. It is, thankfully, a bit more difficult to remove the device. That’s obviously a good thing since you don’t want the phone coming out until you want to remove it.
The design is fairly unassuming. The device sits securely in the right-hand portion of the SGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2 and three card slots add interest and functionality to the left hand cover.
I was surprised the SGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2 doesn’t add more bulk than it does. Yes it is thicker but it still feels nice in the hand.
Cutouts on the back of the SGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2 leave the camera, flash and speaker open. The stylus- oh how I have missed a real stylus that doesn’t vector (add stray lines) when my hand swipes the screen- is also accessible albeit a tiny bit hard to access.
As I note in the video, my biggest issue with the SGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2 is that extra bit of material and snap that are used to keep the case closed when not in use. It gets in the way and can be a bit of an annoyance.
Worse, if you are not careful the button can come into contact with the screen and has the potential to scratch it. And while that has NOT happened, it remains a concern for me.
I really like the SGP Illuzion Case for Samsung GALAXY Note 2. It is highly protective, can double as a wallet and doesn’t add too much weight or bulk to the Note 2. And while my concern over the metal snap is real it is not enough to keep me from liking, using or recommending this case. You can learn more and order yours here on the product page.
