After revealing their latest OneTouch Smartwatch at CES earlier in the year, popular company Alcatel is officially on sale today via preorder. For those of you who have no need for the Apple Watch and want a more impressive and natural look to your wearables, the OneTouch is available for just $149.99.
The great thing about the smartwatch is that it runs on both Android and iOS which make it an easy sell for those who still are in the market for a watch. Although the OneTouch is not an Android Wear watch, it will function in some cases with Android devices. Running on OneTouch’s OS, the watch will have a smooth user experience and it’s 2010mAh battery delivers a great battery life, ranging between 2 and 5 days, depending on usage.

The watch features things like 4.0 low energy Bluetooth, Accelerometer, heart rate sensors, e-compass, NFC tag, as well as being water and dust resistant. Alcatel uses the term resistant, and not “waterproof” for good reason, so don’t expect to go snorkeling in this watch. Preloaded with a full suite of apps like health monitoring music controls, phone notifications and of course heartrate monitoring, this watch is very promising. Also included is the ability to fully customize the watch’s background.
We here at Gear Diary were already excited about the watch when we saw it at CES, but the fact that it’s available for pre-order today has us even more amped. We’ve been told the watch will ship with a black sports band as a standard, with a promise of more bands in the future.
