If you remember my review last year of the jimmyCASE for the iPhone and are in the market for a new wallet, then you might want to check out the slimJIMMY by jimmyCASE.

Currently on Kickstarter, jimmyCASE sent over a model of the slimJIMMY wallet for me to check out, and it belongs in your pocket. As a slim, minimalistic wallet, it packs all of the features you’d want out of a standard wallet but at half the size. The wallet itself is pretty simple made of vegetable leather material with an expendable front pocket made of mesh. jimmyCASE states that the slimJIMMY will hold up to six cards and 15 bills, but I will say that I have eight cards and about 10 Gear Diary business cards that I stash (because I do not carry cash), and it fits perfectly. At only 3″x4″ inches, the wallet is super slim and compact, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on how you like your wallets. There have been times where I’ve thought I forgot my wallet at home and it’s been in my pocket rested next to my phone virtually unnoticed.

The best feature, though, is the fact that the slimJIMMY is RFID safe on its side pocket. The side pocket actually it side loading versus the front pockets top load. It’s a pretty snug fit, so your cards will not fall out, no matter how you shake it to get things to fall out. As a commuter, it’s nice to know that I do not have to take out my Smart Trip (Metro) card in order to tap into the metro station.  While cards fit perfectly in the RFID pocket, business cards will have a bit of a struggle. Luckily since the slimJIMMY is sewn by hand with hand-stitched corners, it’s been a few weeks, and my slimJIMMY still looks and feels brand new. The wallet itself is marvelous and with a $35 pledge on Kickstarter, you can actually receive your slimJIMMY in November in one of four different colors from Black and red, to even Blue, or brown. Why not get rid of the bulk?

Head over to their Kickstarter today and get yourself a slimJIMMY.

What I Like: Although an RFID wallet, you can still tap your metro/keycard
