The first wireless motion sensor with HomeKit compatibility, Elgato’s Eve Motion will detect the connected user’s absence or presence, which will then either enable or disable outlets such as the Eve Energy, HVAC systems, lights, or any other various combination that you choose. The Eve fleet of products handles everything from air quality, temperature, air pressure, down to energy consumption, and is a GREAT brand that is fully compatible with other HomeKit-enabled accessories to give you insight on your home, even when you are not there. Eve Motion actually runs off two AA batteries which promise a wireless yet long battery life that you can literally place anywhere. With a large over 120-degree field of view and a range of up to nine meters, the Eve Motion is perfect for your living room or any common area your family may be in.

“Motion sensors are an indispensable part of a home automation setup,” said Markus Fest, General Manager of Elgato. “With no wires attached, Eve Motion is a versatile trigger for a host of unique and creative scenarios.”

Made to work primarily through Bluetooth, the Eve Motion joins the likes of the Eve Room, Eve Weather, and the Eve Door & Window among many others courtesy of HomeKit. Available from Elgato’s website, you can purchase the Elgato Motion today for $49.95.
