Scosche FrescheAir Portable HEPA Air Purifier and Deodorizer Review

The Lowdown

The Scosche FrescheAir portable HEPA air purifier/deodorizer does move a lot of air from the high setting. The touchless controls are handy and it really does move some air, especially on the high setting. I plan on using the device long-term in my Jeep, hoping that it cuts down on dust as well as South Texas pollens while I drive. Here’s to not sneezing!

Overall
4.5

Pros

  • Well designed and easily fits in a vehicle cupholder
  • Comes with a dual USB plug, so other devices are still usable
  • The touchless operation is a nice feature

Cons

  • I would prefer that USB-C be used for power

For those that suffer from allergies, whether dust, pollen, pet hair, or just want to eliminate pet, food, or smoke odors, the Scosche FrescheAir purifier has come to the rescue. The filter collects 99.5% of small particles with a two-speed fan and touchless operation. The filter is designed to fit in your vehicle’s cup holder or set up easily on a desk.

The Scosche FrescheAir utilizes a 3 stage HEPA filter to collect 99.5% of small particles; it will neutralize odors, and the fan expels clean fresh air. A 24W dual port USB charger is included to power the device and allows for another device to be charged simultaneously. However, I would love to have seen this use USB-C to power it rather than the proprietary plug.

The Scosche FrescheAir measures 6.9″ tall and 2.6″ across and will easily fit in a vehicle’s cup holder. While sitting in a cup holder, the FrescheAir utilizes motion-activated controls and has two fan speeds. Simply swipe your hand over the top of the screen to turn the filter on. It will initially turn on low speed. A second swipe sets the fan on high, while a third turns the unit off.

The top of the screen indicates temperature, humidity, air quality, and fan speed. Each is marked with symbols and nicely lit for easy visibility.
