The Scosche BoomCan MS is a powerful Bluetooth speaker designed specifically to work with Apple’s MagSafe, but it also works fine with any Bluetooth-enabled device. As small as it is, the 3W BoomCanMS delivers bigger sound than your phone’s speaker can; it’s also small enough to go anywhere and doubles as a phone kickstand. Is Scosche on to something here?
It seems as if every device accessory manufacturer has gotten into the wall or car charger market. Scosche certainly has a wide range of offerings. One of their newest, the Scosche PowerVolt Traveler30, does something few if any, other chargers can. It’s both a wall and a car charger; that makes the $44.99 accessory an ideal travel charger.
CES 2022 may not have been the CES we were all hoping for, but it still brought much news. Often lost in the “big” announcements is the work of accessory companies who make our devices even better. Scosche had lots of new products to share, including two new Scosche MagicMount solutions for car use and power solutions for every situation.
Scosche has released a simple accessory that takes your MagSafe Charger in new directions; the Scosche MagicMount for MagSafe Charger is a unique solution that lets you mount and use your MagSafe Charger in the car. Whether you mount it on your windshield or dashboard, the MagicMount will keep your phone in view and, when you arrive at your destination, fully charged.
For those that suffer from allergies, whether dust, pollen, pet hair, or just want to eliminate pet, food, or smoke odors, the Scosche FrescheAir purifier has come to the rescue. The filter collects 99.5% of small particles with a two-speed fan and touchless operation. The filter is designed to fit in your vehicle’s cup holder or set up easily on a desk.
Seems like Apple is being a bit more open to other companies making better quality yet more affordable products than they can, as evidenced by Scosche releasing their new MFi-certified USB-C accessories.
I’m excited about all of the products that Scosche has announced for CES 2019, and that continues with the Scosche BTFREQ. It’s a smart USB Type-A and Type-C car charger and Bluetooth transmitter that you should consider — even if your car already has Bluetooth.
The Scosche MagicGrip Charge Qi-Mount promises to put a different spin on charging your device on the go.
Scosche is much more than their car accessories. If you’ve been following their CES announcements this week, you know that Scosche has a lot in store for 2019, but you might be really intrigued by how they plan on keeping your home device charging organized with the Scosche BaseLynx Modular Charging System.
The Scosche MagicMount Charge3 Vent is promising to be an innovative new take on wirelessly charging your devices on-the-go while attached to a vehicle’s vent — say goodbye to blocked airflow!
A few months ago I reviewed the Scosche MagicMount Pro Charge. It is a wireless car charger that holds your phone in place via magnets. I not only love it, but I use it every single day. The same magic is available for your desk thanks to the indoor version of the Scosche MagicMount Pro Charge.
We recently looked at the Scosche MagicMount Pro Charge and the Speck Presidio Mount Case designed to take advantage of its magnetic wireless charging. The Scosche BoomBottle MM is part of the same line. It is a Bluetooth waterproof speaker with magnets to hold an iPhone in a Speck Presidio Mount or attached steel plates in place; it’s awesome.
As I have mentioned previously, on of the features, I like best about the iPhone X is its ability to charge wirelessly with Qi-enabled wireless chargers. The Scosche MagicMount Pro Charge takes that awesome feature to a new level with wireless, cradleless charging. And while you don’t need it, you’ll also want to pick up a Speck Presidio Mount case.
I love the wireless charging of the iPhone X. I love the protection offered by Speck’s various cases. And I love that Speck is now bringing an iPhone case to market that works with Scosche’s MagicMount line of products that offers zero interference with the wireless charging. The Presidio Mount was created in partnership with Scosche and looks great!
The Scosche BoomBouy Rockstar Pocket-Sized Speaker is a small speaker that clips to a backpack and goes wherever you go. In fact, “goes wherever you go” even includes a pool, river or lake if that is where your travels take you. The small speaker is part of Scosche’s Rockstar sub-brand, but a quick look at it will make that fact clear.
We’ve seen and reviewed a goodly number of external batteries; many are increasingly fancy and complex. The Scosche Rockstar GoBat 10K Portable Battery falls on the simpler side of things… So long as you ignore that very obvious branding. And if you can get past the branding, or you like it, then you may find this a good option.
Sure, Apple included a 3.5mm to Lightning Adapter with the iPhone 7 when they removed the 3.5mm headphone jack, but that adapter is a pain. It works, but it is cheap and annoying. And while you need it to use in-ear headphones, the Scosche StrikeLine Cable is a better alternative if you use over-the-ear or on-the-ear headphones.
Let me get this out of the way up front- I hate Apple EarPods., I don’t like the way they look. I don’t like the way they feel in my ears and, too often, they don’t even stay there. I’m not a fan. Thankfully, for under $60 the Scosche HPL1 earbuds can happily take the place of the EarPods.
Scosche is expanding into the outdoor market with the Powersports line of products. The first two entries are mounts aimed at the motorcycle and UTV/ATV segments. The MagicMount Handlebar and Heavy Duty Universal Fire Extinguisher/Boom Bottle Mounts will bring the same high quality and rugged design as all of Scosche’s products.
Scosche is launching MagicMount Charge wireless charging magnetic mounts for tangle and cradle-free mounting/charging today at CES. There will be two models including one for the car as well as one for the home or office. Pricing has not been announced, but the two options will be available during Q1 of this year.
Scosche has announced a partnership with Rockstar Energy at this year’s CES of rugged products optimized for the outdoors and extreme sports arena. The release includes rugged wireless, portable speakers, battery packs, cables, and headphones. These products are perfect for anyone with an active lifestyle from athletes to rock stars.
