New Roku Hardware and Exciting New Ways to Find Content

There are many streaming services competing for your attention these days. Worse, shows are jumping between services, and it’s always a question mark where to find whatever you want to watch. And then you need hardware to stream it all. But Roku has been and continues to be one of the best at combining hardware and software to make the viewing experience as smooth as possible. Check out the new Roku hardware, including the Express, Wireless Base, and their latest solution for finding content.

Roku isn’t resting on its laurels, either. On the hardware side, they’re going wallet-friendly with the Roku Express, as well as making your home a theater experience with the Roku Wireless Bass.

Roku Express boasts dual-band WiFi, quick setup, and the always easy-to-use Roku Remote, all for just $29.99 (or less than a night out at the movies). Look for the wallet-friendly Express beginning October 16th.

If you’re looking for a way to make watching “Harley Quinn” sound even better, there’s the Roku Bass, which wirelessly connects to Roku devices, including Roku Wireless Speakers, to provide a deeper sound that will liven up your living room/kitchen/bedroom/bathroom (look, we aren’t judging where you stream Netflix).

Better sound quality can be yours at $129.99. Or, you can pair the Roku Bass with the Roku Streambar for $249.99, starting November 7th.

But again, hardware is only one part of the Roku story. The other part of what makes them great is their software, which makes navigating streaming a snap. Roku already had a robust search and main home screen, and they’re making it even better with new features.

First up is The Buzz, which is basically a discovery experience that lets you explore what’s new across multiple platforms and check out trailers, interviews, and other bite-size tidbits to get you excited about something new. Even better, when you find the new content you want to watch, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off with Continue Watching and note what you want to catch later with the Save List. Roku is also rolling out its own Roku Store to allow you to find channels and content more easily.

In addition, they’re adding Bluetooth Private Listening to be compatible with Roku Ultra, Streambar, and Streambar Pro, so you can watch tv without fear of being judged for your love of Real Housewives. They’re also expanding Voice Search to include channel navigation in addition to just finding shows. Finally, if you’re interested in streaming live TV, Roku has you covered there with a Live TV Channel Guide and even a “guide” button on the mobile app so you can zap into the listings quickly.
