Is a smartphone with a folding display on your wishlist? One that, when flipped open, is the size of a regular smartphone rather than a tablet? If so, you might think that your only options would be a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or Motorola Razr. But if you don’t mind trying something new, there’s now the OPPO Find N2 Flip to consider. What can an OPPO folding display smartphone offer that might make you choose it over one of the other brands? With the Find N2 Flip being released worldwide, there’s no better time to find out.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is a compact and sleek folding smartphone that combines the largest cover screen of its kind with an all-day battery and SUPERVOOC Flash charging. The Find N2 Flip weighs 6.74 ounces; when open, it measures less than 0.3″ thick. The glass back covers are precision curved, so the phone will be comfortable in hand when opened or closed.
With polished aluminum sides, a fingerprint-resistant glass cover, and a micro-etched wave pattern across the hinge, the Find N2 Flip has a refined, carresssable exterior.

The Find N2 Flip’s vertical 3.26″ cover screen dominates the top of the clamshell device, making it the largest exterior display on any flip phone currently available; it can serve up to six notification at once! Since the comparisons with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 are going to be inevitable, I should mention that this is significantly larger than the Samsung has a 1.9″ exterior display.
Built-in virtual pets: On top of serving as a notification hub, the Find N2 Flip’s cover screen gives you the option of one of five interactive pets; you can choose from a bird, cat, dog, hamster, or rabbit.
With so much more display space available without actually having to open the phone, whether you’re checking calendar notifications, recording a voice note, toggling settings, answering a call, or replying to texts and other messages, the OPPO’s larger exterior display means you won’t necessarily have to open your phone until something rolls in that truly demands your attention.
That exterior screen comes in handy when you want to use the main cameras for selfie shots, too.
At 4,300mAh, the Find N2 Flip has a relatively massive battery for a folding display flip phone; in comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4’s battery is 3,700 mAh. You’ll be glad for that big battery when you see the gorgeous 6.8″ AMOLED (2520×1080) display inside — and yes, it’s larger than the Z Flip4’s 6.7″ main display.
It has a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz LPTO adaptive refresh rate. The display uses Anti-Reflection film and can achieve up to 1600 nits brightness, so it will be viewable even in the harshest outdoor light.
The OPPO Find N2 has a flagship camera system that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX 355 ultra-wide sensor; inside, there is a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie cam that will work well when using the phone for video calls.
The Find N2 Flip’s next-gen Flexion hinge works with the main display for the gentlest folding angle possible, making a crease that is significantly shallower and narrower than other flip phones when unfolded. The resulting crease is visually subtle, and it is near impossible to feel when the phone is open.

Notably, when you close the Find N2 Flip, you’ll notice that there is no hinge gap, which not only looks better aesthetically but also helps to keep dust out.
The Find N2 Flip’s next-gen Flexion hinge enables FlexForm Mode, which allows the Find N2 Flip to “hold its position mid-fold between 45º and 110º for waist-level dynamic angles, and evocative 4K time-lapse video.”
Using FlexForm Mode also turns your Find N2 Flip into a tripod-steady, hands-free camera; you just partially open the phone, place it on a surface, and then trigger the shutter release with an open palm gesture.
OPPO co-developed the Find N2 Flip’s cameras with Hasselblad; the camera captures pro-grade colors and has a full-featured Professional Mode. The Find N2 Flip’s in-house imaging neural processing unit, MariSilicon X, night video is boosted to take ultra-clear, 4K footage in low light.
You can hold the Find N2 Flip like a camcorder for a steadier grip.
As mentioned, the Find N2 Flip has a 4,300mAh battery, which OPPO says will last a full day on a single charge. When it’s time to recharge, the OPPO uses 44W SUPERVOOC to take the battery from nearly empty to 50% in 23 minutes and up to 100% in less than an hour.
OPPO worked closely with MediaTek to ensure that the Dimensity 9000+ chipset was optimized perfectly for the Find N2 Flip for better performance and enhanced battery life.
Some other things worth mentioning are that the OPPO Find N2 Flip is dual SIM, so if you need a personal and work number on the same phone simultaneously, you’re set. The Find N2 Flip comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB storage, and it runs the ColorOS 13.0 overlay on Android 13.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will also come with four years of major Color OS/Android updates and five years of security updates.

Even though the OPPO Find N2 Flip isn’t technically going to be available in the US, it’s not going to be hard to find in all of the usual global aftermarket places like eBay and Amazon; just be sure that if you buy one, you get the global version versus the Chinese version.
