Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 Is a Desk Lamp That Will Ensure You Always Have the Best Lighting for Work and Video Calls

During the pandemic shutdown, our entire work lives moved onto Zoom. When it did, Lume Cube’s lighting solutions became an essential tool for my staff and me. I still rely on their products for video and photography. Now, the new Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 has become my go-to desk lamp for work and Zoom calls.

Lume Cube, who describe themselves as “the leading LED lighting brand for creators and workspaces,” began with a single, small, powerful light but now has an extensive catalog of lighting solutions.

The Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0, “a versatile lighting solution that adds tailored lighting for every type of workspace,” is the newest addition. Essentially a desk light, the Edge Light 2.0 offers features and customizations that put it in a class of its own. It provides customizable lighting configurations, a broad color temperature range, and
edge-lit technology to enhance workspaces.

That means it works well when needed to provide consistent light for Zoom calls but also functions as a standard task lamp the rest of the time.

Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 offers full temperature and brightness control.

The updated Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 offers an increased color temperature range of 2700K to 7500K. This gives users even greater control and delivers light that, as the company puts it, “will fit any mood or workspace.”

The Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 has touch-sensitive controls, so you can easily adjust color and brightness.

The Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 features touch-sensitive slider controls. It also has a new weighted desktop base that lets users quickly and easily move the lamp into optimal position. (The original Edge Lamp with its desktop clamp is still available and is a few dollars less than the Edge Lamp 2.0.)

The Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 has multiple charging points

The Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 also has two 5V/2A USB-A and USB-C charging ports. This translates to less cable mess on or beneath your desk as the Edge Lamp 2.0’s single AC wall adapter can simultaneously power the light and charge multiple devices.

But while the Lume Cube Edge Light 2.0 offers enhancements over the original Edge Lamp, it also maintains some of the key features of the original version. For example, it still has a 7-inch diameter light head, four customizable pivot points, a 270-degree rotating head, a CRI rating of 95+, and 112 edge-lit LEDs. As Lume Cube CEO Riley Stricklin puts it,

The Edge Light is our most-sold product in Lume Cube company history, one of the products that truly put us on the map. Our customers have provided valuable feedback since releasing the first iteration, so we’ve incorporated all of those improvements into the Edge Light 2.0 version, which we’re proud to add to our line. We truly believe it’s the best modern desk light on the market.
