It’s fall, so it’s time for Lenovo to roll out a slate of its latest innovations and interesting designs in the laptop world. From Yogas to ThinkBooks and IdeaPads, AI is coming to your PCs with some signature Lenovo benefits!
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition
The Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition has been designed in collaboration with Intel to be a truly smart and helpful companion. It features an 8-core hybrid processor and an NPU for AI processing. It also has up to 1TB of storage and a 70Wr battery for plenty of juice on the go.
Aura editions offer “Smart Modes” that can be switched on as needed to make you as productive as possible.
Attention Mode lets you block access to distracting websites (no browsing Reddit on a deadline!); Wellness Features are things like eye health, posture warnings, and fatigue reminders so you take breaks; Collaboration Tools that include enhancements for video chat lighting, blurred backgrounds, virtual presenter, and other ways to make video meetings more productive; Shield Mode, which provides privacy alerts, privacy guard, and an auto-prompt VPN for securing your work.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition will also come with two months of Adobe Creative Cloud and is certified carbon neutral. It is expected to be available in September 2024, starting at $1299.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition
Aura Edition is also coming to the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13. It weighs less than 2.2 pounds despite offering a roomy 14″ screen and more than 18 hours of battery life.
It’ll also feature a Copilot+ experience and optional 5G connectivity. And if you’re seriously considering your carbon footprint, the cover is made from 90% recycled magnesium, the packaging is 100% plastic-free, and the battery is user-replaceable!
Look for it in November 2024, starting at $1,999.
Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6
The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 sports a “Zen 5” core and AMD Radeon graphics, which Lenovo says can offer a 3X performance boost in AI features. It also has an improved thermal architecture to keep things running cooler, supports 5G and Wi-Fi, and can deliver more than 17 hours of battery life.
Of course, they’ll also feature the Copilot+ experience for the full AI benefit, and you’ll be able to enjoy everything with an 88% screen-to-body ratio. The body is made of varying ratios of recycled materials and will come in plastic-free packaging.
Look for it this October, starting at $1,699.
Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 Series
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 will also include many AI perks. It will run on a Snapdragon X Plus 8-core that handles local AI processing and has a whopping 91.3% screen-to-body ratio. With Microsoft Pluton’s secured identity and cryptographic services, it will be the ideal work companion.
Expect it this October, starting at $749.
A sibling laptop, the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7+, will run on AMD Ryzen AI 9 processors but will only be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, starting at €999 this October.
Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 is a convertible Copilot+-enabled PC running on a Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor. With Copilot, AI is there for all your computing needs, helping you crank out your work faster than ever. With up to 1TB of storage, you’ll have plenty of space for work and play.
Best of all, it’s got a metal A-cover that’s tested for MIL-STD-810H, so it’ll be up for the daily abuse of day-to-day life. And at 3.3 pounds and 0.69″ thick, you’ll definitely be toting this everywhere. Whether in tablet or laptop mode, this laptop is going places with you!
Look for it to be available starting October 2024 starting at $849.
Lenovo Yoga Pro 7
The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 is unavailable in North America, but if you’re in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa, it’ll be coming in September 2024 starting at €1699.
It will feature Lenovo X Power Software Accelerate and X Power Hardware Boost to improve software speeds and keep hardware zooming along without burning your legs.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Series
A few IdeaPad Slim devices are also coming out, but again, we won’t be enjoying them in North America. The IdeaPad Slim 5x is a Copilot+ PC with a metal chassis for extra toughness, and the IdeaPad Slim 5 will be coming in 15″ and 13″ screen sizes for your choice of light and smart devices with dedicated Copilot keys.
While we’ll miss out here in the States, get your wallet ready if you’re in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa. IdeaPad Slim 5x will hit September 2024 starting at €899, while IdeaPad Slim 5 hits in October 2024 starting at €699 for both screen sizes.
Lenovo Creator Zone
It’s not just hardware coming out this fall. Lenovo Creator Zone is also coming out this fall for Yoga devices, starting with the Yoga Pro 9i. All Yogas with discreet GPUs will eventually be able to access it, though, and if your Yoga can, you’re in for a treat!
Creator Zone will offer text-to-image generation, advanced image editing, sketch-to-image, and image-to-image. Those last two are quite interesting. You can add a sketch and a description, and the software generates new images, or you can show it sample images, and it will create new ones based on those.
It’s a fun way to leverage AI for new creative endeavors!
Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC Proof of Concept
Finally, Lenovo is showing off a new proof-of-concept AI PC. The Auto Twist AI PC uses what Lenovo calls an “auto twist” design, which allows it to adapt quickly to multiple scenarios with automatic rotation.
It’ll have “smart interaction” that will allow voice controls for things like “close laptop,” “laptop mode,” and “tablet mode.” It’ll also use AI enhancements like tracking you directly in frame for video chats and meetings.
This may all be just to prove Lenovo can do it, but it leads to some exciting potential enhancements in the future!
As Lenovo rolls out these innovative laptops this fall, it’s clear that the future of computing is here and smarter than ever. Whether you’re looking to boost your productivity, stay connected, or unleash your creativity, these AI-powered devices are designed to meet your needs. You won’t want to miss out on the chance to experience these cutting-edge features firsthand.
