Segway’s Latest Innovations: Navimow Robot Mowers, High-Performance Scooters, and Sleek eBikes Redefine Mobility

You might think Segway is all about people movers and scooters, but you’d be very wrong. This iconic brand has expanded far beyond its early innovations, now offering a range of cutting-edge products designed to make life easier, greener, and more exciting. Segway continues to push boundaries from robot lawnmowers that handle your yard work effortlessly to sleek eBikes and powerful scooters that redefine personal transportation. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your commute, simplify your chores, or inject a little thrill into your day, Segway’s latest lineup proves there’s so much more to explore than you ever imagined.

Segway Navimow X3 Series

There are a lot of occupational hazards around mowing the lawn. You end up smelling like gasoline if you use a gas mower, you’re constantly inhaling bits of grass and setting off your allergies, they are noisy, and—if you don’t know what poison ivy looks like— you might just create a biohazard in your backyard (not that we’re speaking from a very itchy experience on that last one).

Thanks to Segway’s latest robot mower, the Navimow X3 series, you can spend your time being more productive and less pollinated.

The Navimow X3 series has a larger cutting width and faster mowing speeds, meaning it can cover up to 2.5 acres. It won’t get lost along the way thanks to Segway’s RTK system, the vSLAM mapping, and the VIO (visual-inertial odometry). In addition, it has a 300-degree camera and an onboard AI to help navigate obstacles and understand where the boundaries are more efficiently.

Navimow X3

The X3 does more than just mow well, though. Navimow can trim, too, taking edge cleanup off your to-do list. It can climb up to a 27-degree slope, has an app-based GPS with an alarm and AirTag compartment for theft prevention, and can sense animals, thus avoiding any really unfortunate accidents.

Finally, it integrates with smart homes like Google and Alexa, so if you’ve ever wanted to feel truly powerful, you can ask your TV to tell the lawn robot to do your chores.

Navimow also offers a few other mowers. The Navimow i Series starts at $999, and the Navimow H series starts at $1,899. The Navimow X3 will be available in 2025, so start gently breaking the news to your old mower.

Segway-Ninebot eKickScooters

Would it be a Segway announcement without some scooters? Not according to marketshare, where Segway-Ninebot is #1 in the e-kickscooter market! Segway’s third generation of eScooters has new features for fun ways to zip around effortlessly.

The new lineup introduces some exciting features to make your rides smoother, safer, and more enjoyable. From hands-free unlocking with AirLock technology to advanced stability enhancements through SegRide geometry and improved traction control systems, these scooters are engineered to elevate your daily journeys.

Add in smart upgrades like automatic headlights, a sleek multi-function TFT display, and the updated Segway Mobility App, and it’s clear these scooters aren’t just about getting you from point A to B—they’re redefining the ride itself. I’m pretty sure this beats most of the tech in my 1998 Sentra, which I had through college (it might be faster than it, too!).

Both models feature Segway’s hallmark smart tech, including dynamic traction control, navigation-ready TFT displays, and even compatibility with Apple’s Find My network for added security.

It reaches a maximum speed of 28 mph, offers a 50-mile range, and accelerates from 0 to 15 mph in just 2.4 seconds. Its dual hydraulic suspension system effortlessly absorbs bumps, making your daily commute a breeze.

The Max G3 is also packed with thoughtful features, such as a 360-degree lighting system, under-glow lights, and high- and low-beam automatic headlights, which ensure visibility and safety. Thanks to FlashCharge technology, it recharges in just 3.5 hours and is ready to go whenever you are.

Accessible and Affordable: F and E Series

For those looking for something lighter on the wallet, the upgraded Ninebot F and E Series are stellar options. The F3 and F3 Pro offer a comfortable commute with front hydraulic suspension and rear elastomer systems, cruising at up to 20 mph for as far as 44 miles.

Meanwhile, the E3 and E3 Pro focus on portability with a lightweight magnesium frame and one-click foldability, making them easy to carry or store.

Even at lower prices, these models come with premium touches like Segway’s Traction Control System and customizable underglow lighting, ensuring a stylish, safe, and smooth ride.

Pricing on the Ninebot F and E series has not yet been announced.

Setting the Standard: Verified Performance

In a significant milestone, Segway is the first brand to earn the UL Verified Micro Mobility Performance Mark. This certification confirms that Segway’s range, energy consumption, acceleration, and other performance claims have been rigorously tested and independently verified. Models like the Max G3 and F3 Pro already carry this mark, underscoring the brand’s commitment to transparency and quality.

Segway eBikes

The Segway Xafari and Xyber side by side

The Segway Xafari and Xyber side by side

Segway is going all-in on eBikes with two very badass-looking models. The Segway Xyber will turn heads with some very cyberpunk looks, and it can zip along as fast as 35MPH. It is an unclassified eBike to “avoid ambiguity with U.S. eBike regulations while providing customers with unrestricted performance.”

As an unclassified product, this technically means that it’s not intended for use on public roadways or bike paths, but if no one’s asking, we’re not telling!

But for those of you who want to legally use the Xyber on roads and bike paths, there will be an additional road-legal Class 2 version in the last half of 2025 that will strictly comply with federal Class 2 eBike designation and include additional safety features for on-road use.

Thanks to the 2,880Wh battery, it can even travel up to 112 miles with dual battery integration. Don’t worry, though; there are twelve levels of pedal assist for regular biking and eco/sport/race modes if you want to use the throttle.

The Segway Xyber has a peak wattage of 6,000, a peak torque of 175Nm, and it can accelerate from 0-20 mph in 2.7 seconds!

Outride your friends and impress everyone with how cool you look, starting at $2,999.99. It’s on presale today with open sales starting on February 3rd.

If you prefer a more classic eBike style, the Segway Xafari might be more your speed. It’s equipped with a 936Wh battery and has a range of 88 miles (but it won’t take you Back to the Future). It’ll cover you for more than just pedal assistance on your trips, with a USB-A port capable of charging your phone and a rear rack.

There are also integrated soft and hardshell bags, so you can take this on an all-day adventure and have everything you need along the way. If you’re itching to go exploring now, the Xafari starts at $2,399.99. It’s on presale today with open sales starting on February 3rd,

Segway continues to redefine mobility with innovative products that go far beyond their iconic scooters. From the cutting-edge Navimow X3 Series robot mowers that take the hassle out of lawn care to their eKickScooters and eBikes that blend style, performance, and practicality, Segway proves they’re not just a one-trick pony. Whether you’re looking to streamline your chores, commute comfortably, or add a little thrill to your ride, Segway’s diverse lineup has something to offer.

With smart features, impressive performance, and thoughtful design in every product, Segway is making it easier than ever to work smarter, explore farther, and enjoy the ride. Keep an eye out for their 2025 releases—it looks like the best is yet to come!

  1. The Segway Navimow X3 Series would be a dream to have, as well, the Segway-Ninebot eKickScooter. Both look fabulous, both would be very much appreciated, and fun to use.

  2. All of these seem really nice. Wasn’t Segway bought up a few years ago by a company that Segway was suing for violating its patents, so it’s not exactly the original Segway?

  3. I am absolutely delighted with the Segway Xafari! Except for the price…

  4. Use Ninebot F/E to get to work? Why not!

  5. It would be incredibly cool to ride a Xyber bike somewhere outside the city, on deserted roads.

I don’t have a yard to mow, but the Navimow X3 looks pretty awesome! It’s wild how it just handles everything on its own. Would be cool to see it in action!

The Segway Xyber looks like a LOT of fun! I haven’t ventured into the ebike market at all, in fact I haven’t ridden a regular bike in years, but learning more about them has me intrigued!
