If you’ve ever looked at your phone or earbuds and thought, “Functional, yes, but could they be a bit more fabulous?” then Motorola has clearly been reading your mind. Their new release, The Brilliant Collection, is where luxury fashion meets everyday tech, blending practicality with just enough sparkle to get you stopped in the street, but for all the right reasons. Featuring the Motorola Razr 2025 and the Moto Buds Loop, this curated collection doesn’t just shine; it struts.

A Stylishly Bold Partnership
The Brilliant Collection marks the first in a new line of themed collaborations Motorola is calling “Motorola Collections.” These bundles aren’t just color-matched or vaguely branded; they’re intentionally designed as cohesive sets with a shared vision. In this case, that vision includes an icy new colorway, a luxe finish, and — just in case the words “fashion-forward” didn’t quite click — brilliant Swarovski crystals.

This isn’t the first time Motorola has teamed up with Swarovski. Earlier this year, the two brands quietly tested the waters with a limited edition of the Moto Buds Loop in French Oak, accented with crystals and tuned for premium audio. That debut must’ve gone over well, because they’re now back with a full-on fashion-meets-function collaboration. Think of it as the lovechild of couture and consumer tech.
Meet the Motorola Razr 2025: Now With Extra Sparkle
Flip phones have already made their grand reentry into modern life, but Motorola’s Razr 2025 isn’t here to simply ride the nostalgia wave; it’s looking to steal the spotlight while it’s at it.

Wrapped in a glacially cool shade of PANTONE Ice Melt, the new Razr ditches flat finishes for something with a little more texture. The phone’s back is covered in a leather-inspired 3D quilted material that catches the light like freshly fallen snow, if that snow also happened to be encrusted with 35 hand-placed Swarovski crystals.

And yes, one of those crystals sits squarely on the hinge, cut with 26 precise facets like something you’d find in a jeweler’s window. Even the volume buttons are dressed to impress with a crystal-inspired design that ties everything together in a way that screams designer handbag, not smartphone. Motorola didn’t just toss some sparkle on the surface and call it a day, though. The Razr is still a fully functional foldable phone, offering the performance and flexibility you’d expect from a modern device.

The addition of the premium crossbody case, which is crafted to match the phone’s aesthetic, makes it easier to keep this mini masterpiece protected while still flaunting it on the go. Whether you’re heading to brunch, a boardroom, or a red carpet (real or imaginary), this phone is dressed for the occasion.
Moto Buds Loop: Jewelry That Just So Happens to Play Music
In the past, you may have considered most wireless earbuds to be either chunky, uncomfortable, or shaped like weird plastic stems dangling from your ears. Motorola’s Moto Buds Loop aren’t trying to blend into the background. Instead, they proudly sit on the outer ear like minimalist earrings, giving you premium sound and style without compromising comfort.

Now available in that same Ice Melt hue, this edition of the Moto Buds Loop adds a generous sprinkling of Swarovski crystals to the frame. So yes, they gleam. But they also deliver serious audio punch, thanks to tuning from Bose, a brand that’s built its reputation on creating some of the richest, most immersive sound in consumer audio. Whether you’re into bass-heavy playlists, soothing podcasts, or chaotic voice memos from your most dramatic friend, these buds have you covered.

The open-ear design might raise a few eyebrows if you’re used to fully sealed in-ear headphones, but there’s a method to the minimalism. This style sits lightly and securely on the outer part of your ear, which makes it easier to stay aware of your surroundings. Think morning jogs, train stations, or coffee runs, where “I didn’t hear you” isn’t a great excuse. They stay in place without pressing into your ear canal, which makes them a comfortable option for extended wear, especially if you’re someone who wears earbuds for hours at a time and ends up with sore ears and mild regret.

Battery life is nothing to sniff at either. On their own, the Moto Buds Loop offer up to 8 hours of listening time, and the charging case extends that to a generous 37 hours. The case itself charges fully in about an hour, so if you’re running on empty, you won’t be stuck waiting long. While the earbuds aren’t designed for a swim, their water-repellent design makes them more than capable of surviving an unexpected drizzle or a coffee splash.
When Fashion Meets Function: Who Is This For?
The Brilliant Collection isn’t for the tech minimalist or the person who thinks glitter is a personality flaw. This bundle is unapologetically extra, but in a calculated, elegant way. It’s for anyone who appreciates the finer things, even in their tech. If your accessories are coordinated, your phone deserves the same treatment. If you love a statement necklace but need to answer emails on the fly, this set does both.

It’s also practical. The Razr’s compact form factor means you’re not dragging a phablet around in every clutch or coat pocket, and the earbuds solve a common problem for fashion-conscious folks: how to listen to music without ruining the aesthetic of your outfit. The fact that both pieces tie together visually with a matching case and unified colorway only sweetens the deal.
Then there’s the gift potential. If you know someone who’s impossible to shop for, imagine their reaction when they open a box containing crystal-encrusted tech; it’s jewelry that happens to be smart.
Availability and Pricing
If The Brilliant Collection has you internally screaming, “I need it,” then mark your calendar; it will be available online in the U.S. starting August 7 from Best Buy, Amazon, and Motorola, priced at $999.99 for the bundle. Cricket Wireless will offer it starting August 15. That price includes both the Motorola Razr 2025 and the Moto Buds Loop in the Ice Melt finish, adorned with Swarovski crystals, plus the coordinating crossbody case.

To be fair, pricing may shift slightly depending on your carrier of choice, so don’t be surprised if things aren’t quite identical across platforms. Even so, when you break it down, that’s a lot of sparkle for under a thousand bucks, especially when compared to the cost of most luxury phones or high-end designer accessories that do far less.
The Bigger Picture: Motorola’s New Approach to Tech Curation
What’s intriguing here is that this isn’t a one-off. The Brilliant Collection is only the first of many themed bundles Motorola is planning. The idea is to create sets of tech products that go beyond matching specs or color names, instead offering cohesive experiences through style, materials, and collaborative design. It’s an unexpected move from a company that could’ve easily stayed in the safe zone of black slabs and spec sheets. Instead, they’re diving into fashion and lifestyle, areas traditionally dominated by luxury brands.

This signals something larger that is happening in the tech world. Consumers aren’t just buying performance anymore; they want products that reflect their taste and personality. Motorola’s leaning into that desire, starting with a collection that says “premium” without spelling it out in capital letters. You don’t have to know how many gigabytes something has to appreciate how well it pairs with your outfit.
Daring, Dazzling, and Designed to Be Seen
The Brilliant Collection by Motorola is less about specs and more about presence. Yes, the 2025 Razr is a sleek and capable foldable smartphone. Yes, the Moto Buds Loop offer high-quality sound and a comfortable fit. But it’s the design, the intentional aesthetic, and the boldness of putting crystals on tech gear that make this collection stand out. It doesn’t whisper “luxury,” it glitters.

So if you’re tired of carrying a phone that feels like a glorified calculator and wearing earbuds that double as white plastic eyesores, The Brilliant Collection might just be your excuse to indulge. After all, if you’re going to carry tech with you every day, why not make it something worth showing off?
I suppose it’s a nice option for those who care about those things.
My inner magpie loves the look of it, really attractive.
I love how amazing these look, but not sure I would pay just for better looks Now, for better performance….I know I would!
The Motorola phone looks glamorous. The Swarovski crystals and the textured surface of the phone just make the phone look elegant and high quality. The earbuds look a bit clunky and too big for anyone’s ears. I am also not a fan of the way the earbuds dangle off the ears. I am impressed though by how long the earbuds can run once fully charged. The crossbody bag looks a bit extra. It is not one of those things I would wear on a daily basis. This new Motorola collection looks high quality, but is too extra for most people including me. It also is too expensive. In this economy, most people would not be able to afford this collection.
They definitely look amazing, but I don’t know if they’re right for me. I’d consider buying them for my partner though!
These aren’t my style, but there’s clearly a market for these that I don’t think any other major manufacturer has tried to address. I look forward to seeing the other themes that Motorola is planning to come out with.
