The Aiper Smart Yard Ecosystem Wants Your Pool Cleaner, Sprinkler, and Mower to Compare Notes

Aiper is using IFA 2026 to move beyond standalone pool robots with the Aiper Smart Yard Ecosystem, a connected platform that coordinates pool cleaning, irrigation, lawn care, soil sensing, weather data, and solar power from one app. The appeal isn’t hard to spot. Your sprinkler, mower, and pool cleaner may all be “smart,” yet they often communicate about as well as strangers in an elevator. Aiper wants them sharing information instead, so rain can cancel watering, changing conditions can alter cleaning schedules, and you don’t have to play air traffic controller for the backyard.

One Yard Shouldn’t Need Six Separate Brains

The connective tissue is something Aiper calls Intelligence of Things, or AIoT. Compatible devices share maps, schedules, sensor readings, and environmental data rather than operating as independent gadgets that happen to occupy the same property.

The Smart Yard Ecosystem can include robotic pool cleaners, irrigation systems, robotic lawn mowers, soil sensors, weather stations, and solar panels. Aiper has also built routines around everyday maintenance, changing weather, and vacations. For example, if a soil sensor determines that part of the yard is already wet, irrigation can pause. When rain is detected, watering can stop, and a mower can head back to its station.

That’s a more compelling use of connected technology than adding another dashboard to your phone. The yard doesn’t need more notifications. It needs its various machines to stop behaving as though they’ve never met.

The broader interface provides a yard health score, alerts, savings information, plant identification, and recommendations when visual clues suggest possible disease or pest damage.

There’s an obvious catch. An ecosystem becomes more useful as you buy more pieces of it. If you own only one Aiper device, much of this coordination is theoretical. But if you already have, or plan to have, automated irrigation, mowing, and pool care, getting those systems to exchange information rather than blindly following separate schedules could save both time and resources.

IrriSense 2 SE Waters the Plants Without Digging Up the Yard

The new IrriSense 2 SE is a 3-in-1 smart irrigation system that combines the controller, sprinkler, and electric valve in one compact unit. It stands about 11.8″ tall, weighs roughly 5.7 pounds, and is designed to be installed in about 10 minutes without underground piping or permanent outdoor wiring.

That last bit matters. Traditional irrigation installation can turn a perfectly respectable lawn into a trenching project, and changing the layout later generally isn’t anyone’s idea of a relaxing Saturday. The IrriSense 2 SE can simply be repositioned as landscaping changes.

It covers up to 4,800 square feet with a spray range of up to 39′, and you can divide that coverage into as many as six zones with separate schedules. EvenRain technology uses gentler, rain-like watering rather than a harder spray, while weather-aware scheduling and data from Aiper’s soil sensor can adjust watering based on current conditions. Aiper claims the combination can reduce water use by up to 40% compared with conventional in-ground irrigation systems.

An optional solar panel is planned for a later release. It uses a 36 Wh battery, is designed to recharge in about five to six hours of normal sunlight, and can provide nine to 10 hours of backup operation when sunlight is insufficient.

Scuba V3 Ultra Gives the Pool Robot Eyes

The Scuba V3 Ultra is where the letters AI start earning overtime. It’s a cordless 6-in-1 robotic pool cleaner designed to handle the floor, walls, waterline, surface, and shallow sun shelves in water as shallow as about 7.9″. An integrated chamber can also hold chlorine tablets.

Two front-facing cameras give the robot depth perception above and below the waterline. They can detect debris and obstacles from up to about 6.5′ away, respond in 0.1 seconds, and recognize more than 20 types of debris. Cleaning power then adjusts based on what the cameras detect.

Aiper calls the broader system AI Patrol Cleaning. Rather than following the same route regardless of conditions, the V3 Ultra can account for pool dimensions, weather patterns, and previous cleaning preferences while choosing among 40 zone combinations, nine cleaning patterns, and three intensity levels.

That’s where AI has the potential to mean something beyond being an obligatory 2026 product-description adjective. A robot that can recognize a freshly deposited pile of leaves and spend more of its battery cleaning there is considerably more useful than one methodically scrubbing an already-clean corner because the route told it to.

The dual-pump system moves roughly 8,500 gallons of water per hour, while a 180-micron debris basket and 3-micron MicroMesh filter handle everything from larger debris to much finer particles. Floor-cleaning runtime reaches up to 240 minutes.

JellyFloat buoyancy control brings the roughly 28.7-pound robot back to the surface at the end of a cycle, where it stays put and drains as you lift it. That’s a small detail until you’ve tried hauling a waterlogged pool robot out from the deep end. Then it starts sounding rather thoughtful.

And because those cameras are understandably worth asking about, the V3 Ultra doesn’t store or upload captured images or video. Its remote-access interfaces are also disabled, and it encrypts app data and communications.

EcoSurfer Senti Cleans the Surface and Keeps an Eye on the Water

The EcoSurfer Senti takes a different approach. Rather than waiting for leaves and insects to sink so another cleaner can handle them, this solar-powered skimmer patrols the surface and tries to catch debris first.

Its camera and optical sensors can detect floating material from about 6.5′ away, while adaptive navigation and anti-stranding bars are intended to keep it moving around steps, corners, drains, and other places where autonomous pool gadgets occasionally decide to reconsider their life choices.

The roughly 1.5-gallon debris basket has a 150-micron filter, but debris collection is only half the story. Senti measures pH and water temperature every hour and can automatically dispense pH adjuster through a two-step treatment system. When that function isn’t being used, the same chamber can hold ordinary chlorine tablets and distribute chlorine as the skimmer moves around the pool.

SolarSeeker technology manages charging and can direct the skimmer toward sunlight when it needs more power. The Aiper app provides current water information, cleaning history, and manual movement controls.

Automated chemical management is appealing, but it’s also one of those conveniences that shouldn’t eliminate an occasional human sanity check. Pool chemistry has consequences considerably more irritating than discovering that the robot missed a leaf.

Scuba S3 Is for Anyone Who Has Ever Lifted a Heavy Pool Robot

The Scuba S3 skips some of the V3 Ultra’s complexity and focuses on a wonderfully unglamorous problem: pool robots can be heavy. It’s a cordless cleaner for in-ground pools up to 1,615 square feet, weighs 18 pounds, and provides 4,800 gallons per hour of suction through front and rear roller brushes.

JetAssist tackles the waterline differently from robots that repeatedly climb and descend the wall. A side-facing water jet helps hold the S3 against the wall while it travels horizontally along the waterline at about 4.9′ per minute, keeping the brushes and suction in contact with the grime-prone band around the pool.

Its distance-sensing navigation can read walls and slopes from up to about 9.8′ away and plan routes around irregular pool geometry. Five cleaning modes cover automatic operation, the floor, walls, the waterline, and scheduled cleaning. Runtime reaches 180 minutes normally or up to 240 minutes in ECO mode.

When cleaning is finished, the S3 returns to the waterline and sends an app notification instead of staying at the bottom waiting for you to fish it out with a pole. This is the sort of feature that won’t make a dramatic keynote slide, but it might be the one you appreciate every single week.

Aiper’s Bigger Bet Is on the Backyard, Not One Robot

None of these products addresses a problem nobody knew existed. Lawns need water. Pools collect leaves. Pool chemistry needs attention. Robots are annoying to lift when they’re full of water.

What’s more interesting about Aiper’s IFA 2026 announcement is the attempt to make those chores aware of one another. Smart-home products have spent years getting better at controlling individual things. The next useful step may be getting the things to coordinate without requiring the homeowner to write a miniature operations manual.

Whether Aiper has pulled that off will depend on how well the Smart Yard Ecosystem works outside an IFA demonstration, how broadly it expands, and what all of this costs. The materials supplied for the announcement don’t include pricing or firm retail dates for the IrriSense 2 SE, Scuba V3 Ultra, EcoSurfer Senti, or Scuba S3, and those details will say a great deal about how compelling the ecosystem ultimately is.
