Across the United States today hopefully millions of folks will be out voting for their local, state and federal representatives. There are tons of important issues and races at stake, as well as the balance of power in Congress. I’m sure there are local issues in your areas as well.
Google is making things easy – simply type vote into your search bar / web page and you are brought to this page.
From there you simply enter your home address and you will get a Google Map page showing the directions to your polling place, and on the left side a bunch of info including who is on your ballot.
I tried it out on our current address as well as the one we moved from two years ago in another state, and both worked perfectly. At the old address, I noticed an error in that it specified “MEMORAIL HALL” as opposed to ‘Memorial’, and didn’t show the end location on the map – but did provide the correct address and clicking on the link for the address highlighted it correctly.
No matter you thoughts on the current or past administrations, the political process or whomever is running for office, I urge you to find out who is running in your area and vote for the person and/or party you support. It is our right and responsibility!
