ConnecteDevice Ltd, an unpronounceable global tech company, has just announced the worldwide launch of its COOKOO™ connected watches. These designer devices combine standard analog movement with a connected digital display to keep people updated to the happenings on their iOS smartphones. Incoming and missed calls, Facebook notifications, calendar reminder, and more can be mapped to the watch and displayed digitally. Even better, the COOKOO line doesn’t require regular charging.
So how does it work? Users must first download the COOKOO App™ (available on the App Store). People can then pick and choose which updates they want to receive on their wrist. Even when your phone is out of sight and reach, the watch is responsible for keeping you in the know. A discrete beep or vibration can be set to alert users of anything from a Facebook message to a low battery.
At the push of a customizable COMMAND button, users can kickstart specific actions, such as:
• Finding their phone
• Snapping photos remotely
• One-button Facebook check-in
• Location tagging on a map
The COOKOO line of watches uses Bluetooth® wireless technology and is compatible with the latest devices including: iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad mini, iPad (4th & 3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation) on either iOS 6 or iOS 5. More devices should be announced in the near future.
The watch also benefits from reliable Japanese movement and a scratch-resistant mineral glass. It’s water resistant up to 5ATM. Not bad, huh?
If you’re interested in adding a COOKOO watch to your life, each watch will run you between $129 and $250 . The devices are currently available at the Chicago AT&T Flagship store, but not anywhere else. If you don’t live in Illinois, the online store is your best bet.
