I have to confess that it was my intention to have a full review of Machines at War 3 for today, but I really wanted to alert everyone to the release of Machines at War 3. This is a real-time strategy (RTS) game with a deep campaign mode, skirmish and full multiplayer modes – and it is a true indie effort! As a RTS, you are constantly working against time and building bases, doing tower defense, navigating stealth subs, commanding gigantic mega units, and researching new technologies.
I have played through the tutorial and some of the campaign on both Mac and PC and am impressed with both the depth and breadth of the game, and the performance, attention to detail and stability. This is the sort of game that will have you asking THIS is an indie game? The Machines at War games have been acclaimed in the past, and once you try it out you will understand why.
You can grab a demo of the game to check it out, and the full game is only $19.99, for Mac or PC. You can directly order here.
Here are some features:
– Build over 130 types of units and technologies
– Rescue the Omicron Initiative in 21 missions
– Command massive 5,000 unit battles
– Play unlimited random map skirmishes
– Conquer four friends in online multiplayer combat
– Dominate with seven awesome mega units
Head to the home page for more details, to grab the demo or order the full game yourself! And look for a full review here in the coming weeks.
Looks nice, I might give it a try. 🙂
