My iPhone photo library is a random mix of pictures for work, home, Gear Diary and so on. When I am showing things to colleagues, I really don’t need to skip past silly pictures of my kids dressed up for ‘Spirit Week’ or a screenshot from the latest G5 game. Enter PhotoPresenter, keeping me in charge of what others see.
Here is the idea behind the app:
“Bastian, our video guru, recently hosted a Boinx workshop. During his presentation, he decided to put together a slideshow that showcased people using Boinx’s iStopMotion. All of the media was located on his smartphone, so this should have been a breeze,” recalls Oliver Breidenbach, CEO and co-founder of Boinx Software. “However, every app he tried pulled in personal photos and videos that he did not want to share with the group. After a bit of research, we found that no app allowed you to create a slideshow on the fly and control the media that is presented, and the idea for PhotoPresenter was born.”
Here are some different PhotoPresenter scenarios:
1. You recently went on a great holiday with your closest friends, and your grandparents would like to see some of the photos you took of the beautiful location. There were certainly some photos you’d prefer they didn’t see.
2. You are showing your portfolio to a client or potential employer. You’ll need to choose specific photos and/or videos for them to view, and want to put your very best work on display.
3. Imagine working with your team on creative concepts. An enthusiastic discussion keeps you jumping back and forth from one media file to the other; not being limited to a specific slideshow order is an invaluable creative tool that helps keep the discussion and ideas flowing.
