Case Logic SureFit for 7-8″ Tablets Review: Universal Tablet Brilliance

If you have a 7-8″ tablet and may switch to something of as slightly different size or you have two tablets in the 7-8″ range and want one case to use with both the Case Logic SureFit for 7-8″ Tablets may be for you. The $34.99 folio-style case comes in three colors and offers decent protection and impressive flexibility.
The Folio looks like any other folio from the outside. Open it up however and you are greeted by a tablet-holding system that is like no other. Coated, spring steel, elasticized clips sit at three strategic locations on the inside that are positioned in such a manner that the clips can hold two of the corners of a tablet on one side and the middle of a tablet on the other. And while it may not look like it when you first open the case, the two corner clips stretch to hold most tablets in the 7-8″ range. Pull the clips back, place a tablet into them and then let the clips move back toward their original position and lock in place around the tablet.

The case is made from a textured, polyester fabric that looks good but feels obviously synthetic. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it is something anyone considering this case should know. The case also doubles as a stand thanks to a clever design that allows the portion of the case holding the tablet to fold forward and lock into one of three slots cut into the inside portion of the cover.

This is not the most refined folio case we have seen but it does get the job done. It is one of the few cases that are not device-specific and, as a result, can serve a number of tablets and eReaders. If that kind of flexibility sounds good to you this is a case worth checking out.
