The PlayStation TV device ($99 MSRP) expands the streaming box experience into the video game realm to include games on PlayStation Vita, PSP, PS One, and PlayStation 3 using their cloud streaming PlayStation Now technology plus games on PlayStation 4 using Remote Play.
The powerful pocket-sized PS TV can plug-and-play into any HDMI compatible TV (no standard TV support), so players can enjoy various PlayStation games in 480p, 720p, and 1080i.
Players then connect to a local Wi-Fi network (robust Wi-Fi or wired connection recommended). PlayStation TV is also available in a DualShock 3 (DualShock 4 also compatible) bundle that includes the controller, 8 GB memory card and a digital voucher of the blockbuster hit The LEGO Movie Videogame. Users can use parental control and play mp3 music files on the memory card.
Do you think PlayStation TV’s gaming edge (compatible game list here) will beat Apple TV and the other boxes?
